Almost perfect
This is almost exactly the app I've been searching for except for how it changes a file's creation date if I open a preexisting markdown file with it and then save it through the app. I don't know if it's just because my files are stored in my iCloud drive but if my files' original created date stayed the same, it would be the perfect lightweight menubar markdown text editor!
Update: A super responsive developer too!! The issue is fixed :)

Exactly What I Wanted it to Be
This app does precisely what it sets out to do. It's a functional, minimal, but elegant looking markdown editor that sits in the menu bar. Shortcuts for "Save As" and "New" and a space to type. What more could I ask for?
