This app is absolutely amazing! I think it is doing great work for people who may not be able to afford therapy, or aren’t ready to publicly find help. This app begins by asking you about the areas that you may be struggling with in your life. For example lack of motivation, feeling lonely, trouble setting boundaries, etc. It also asks you about any symptoms of depression or anxiety you may have. From there, it gives you videos of real therapy sessions that cover whatever your problem(s) is. For example if your issue is getting motivated she has the patient write the way they feel after that doing whatever activity they aren’t motivated to do. This challenges the patients automatic negative thoughts surrounding that activity. This is similar to the cognitive behavioral therapy approach we learned in class. Along with the video it gives you homework to do yourself in order to self improve. This app is so beneficial because you are getting real and practical advise from licensed counselors and you have the ability to set reminders to stay on top of your therapy. You also can track your progress which serves as a reward for your work (operant conditioning).
Very useful app that lets you hear real sessions while you work through your own stuff
I think the reason this app is important is because if you don’t have the finances to afford therapy. And also looking for a therapist can be quite trying. It is very imperative to look for other resources that can assist. I find that this app has the ability to provide the individual who is looking for therapy A real life session with a real life professional and even though it’s not your circumstance per se the therapy is broken up into areas. So if you’re feeling stressed you search for stress topics. If you’re feeling lonely you type in lonely and you’ll find the resources that you need. Of course they don’t have every topic because they are building but I definitely think this app is really great for people who sort of are already aware of their issues and are looking for more insight onto how to navigate when they don’t have a therapist at their disposal. I would even suggest that even if you do go to therapy that this app could be of a great benefit to you as well giving it five stars.

This app has been an absolute blessing! The format is fantastic!! Being able to listen to actual sessions with other humans is hugely beneficial in ways I didn’t even anticipate. 1- it is therapeutic just to hear that others struggle with the same/similar things, 2- it takes away any feelings of being judged by the other party because there isn’t one, and 3- you get help/advice without having to deal with someone telling you what to do (in case anyone else struggles with being told what to do.) It’s just like “Oh, I heard some great advice today, I think I’ll take it!” I have found the therapists to be pleasant to listen to and the feedback they provide is so valuable. THANK YOU for making this app!! I’ve already started sharing it with everyone I know.
