Disappointing and concerning…

The app is very different from the HSBC app. It will require time to get used to it. It’s still Beta so, I hope it gets better.
More concerning is the security. The combination of identifier and password being done only with number is a huge security concern.
On top of it, the system seems to fail from time to time with the password. So, you have to use the forget my password function… even though I knew my password and keyed it in correctly.
So the behavior of the app and website are REALLY strange and scary for security purposes.

Non intuitive design, hard to use

I really had hoped that a brand new app would be better than the old app of HSBC but somehow it’s worse than ever!!

Things that are missing to be able to rate this app higher:
- Dark mode
- Instantly showing all credit card / debit transactions after they happen in the app
- Showing the transfers that were scheduled in HSBC and still occur but don’t show up in CCF!!!
- Generally a cleaner and easier to use interface..it feels like a 1990s website. Just look at Revolut or N26, copy & paste…
- Modern security and password requirements. What is this ridiculous passphrase nonsense ? Just enforce a single complex password (AND ALLOW PASTING OF PASSWORDS OH MY GOD!!) and enforce 2FA+ biometrics

I’ll stop there but if at least some of those things could be done the application would be more useable and not so deplorable as it is today :/

Worse app possible. It works some days but then many more doesn’t!
The features are not easy to decipher and for someone like me who has several bank accounts this is bad quality.I am having to call my very patient bank contact to ask for transactions which she refuses to do asking me to go back to the app!!!
It’s not rocket science. You just need to check other bank apps that are successful.
Very frustrating for me.
