Mesh Lamp 4+

I was very please with the brightness of the lamps and color hues but the app interface and connectivity is very disappointing. App only connects to lights that are within 6-8 feet which makes controlling multiple lamps in different location simultaneously impossible. The timing function does not work reliably so I had to set up photosensitive outlets instead to ensure dusk to dawn operation. The preset color modes are limited to only few choices which are not customizable at all so if you don’t like the color choices you only have option for setting up steady illumination of one color. App definitely needs more work but the lights do a decent enough job as is.

Recently, I received landscape lighting that uses Mesh Lamp App for color changes and music synchronization. After downloading the app, I experience no issues with controlling lighting, timing, color changing options (by shaking the phone or changing the color palette) and the on/off features! However, I experienced issues when trying to apply the music, I received a pop-up message stating that my music could not be found on my device. However, shortly after clicking on the music option, music from my phone was recognized and added the music under the “music”. However, when clicking on a song option from the list, a message stated that it is copyrighted music and temporarily cannot be played.” Not sure what the work around is in order for this feature to work.

Otherwise, the features work well with an IOS. It would be great if the music feature would work as intended or if a workaround was published until the improvements to the app could be made.

The lights seemed to be bright but the whole connection and configuration with the app is terrible. You can’t group lights and then make them work properly based on app settings. The timing function itself doesn’t work as my lights would remain on all the time. Also the lights come with a green outdoor box that covers the transformer from rain. But the instructions said the protector actually won’t protect from rain. So I put tape around the edges of the box to give extra protection but when I did that the app couldn’t find the lights with Bluetooth anymore. So completely useless junk. Not sure how to use the lights outdoor and have them be protected and app actually find the lights. FYI if you are inside the house and trying to find outside lights to control they won’t be found. If you have to have phone with app on next to the lights to have them be found to configure. So really, useless ‘mobile’ solution. They should have just give a physical configuration switch with the lights and I would have had better luck than an app.
