I took a chance buying this app as there were no reviews. I am very glad that I did purchase this well designed program. Very intuitive and well laid out. All the info needed to plan a future meteor shower observation session is easily shown. Moon phase icons next to the shower name and date work great. One click takes to a very detailed info about the event. You can easily go back in time too to get historical data. It is hard to believe that this is a free app. Kudos to Howard Edin for this great contribution to the world of backyard astronomy. This app has won a spot in my top 10! Thank you very much.

Great for planning when to look up into the sky for watching meteors. Like that it tells you the outlook for the shower given the current moon phase. Also like that you can set a reminder directly in the app. Very handy that it works in offline mode so if you are in a remote area to view the shower you can still get info about the shower. Needs the ability to add notes within the app so that if you viewed a shower you can jot down info like: where you were and how many you saw. Then give a visual clue in the list to help you find those quickly or filter for those that have notes.

Missed the Perseids because being a newbie, I read the peak times wrong on the web and missed it. This app is very specific. The two only improvements I can suggest so far is 1) ability to add to iPhone calendar as an event, and 2) a sort of 'rating system' on the main screen as far as how visible/active a particular event will be (maybe this can't be done because of varying viewing locations?). But definitely very cool app if you love to watch shooting stars! :)

I really like this app a lot. I love watching meteor showers and this helps me find the peak hours very quickly and easily. The only issue I've run into so far is after looking at the specifics of a shower, I hit the alert button to add it to my calendar and the app crashes. When I check my calendar the info was saved making me happy. But the crashing part is a bit of a pain. Otherwise, great app and well worth the $0.99!

This is a pretty cool app with lots of info, but I think that there should be a button you can push that takes you to a link with a live camera showing meteor showers from that day if there is one going on at the time. Plus, if you search info for a past shower and push that button it will show a recording of that shower

Easy to use, representation of the year’s meteor are listed in nice graphs. Tapping a shower listing gives all the information you need. None of the screen is wasted and yet very well organized. While in one of the meteor listings you can tap Alert to add to your default calendar. A must-have app.
