Fund transfer failure

Been using this app for years since it became and I found the mobile fund transfer very convenient. But yesterday all of a sudden my fund transfers all failed even to my own accounts which I have been using since the beginning. A notification that the facility is no longer available or temporarily available. Good thing I was able to do the transfers using my browser.

Won't send OTP

I had to send a large amount of money to my cousin but I wanted to try sending a small amount first just to make sure everything‘s in order. The transfer went very smoothly. The next day I tried to send the full amount, however, the app won’t send the OTP password to my phone. I tried several times and never had success. I emailed customer service who told me that there was nothing wrong on their end, I am in the US and a lot of apps here use OTP, and not a single one ever had issues. Metrobank needs to step up their game and make sure their app features work before implementing it. Such a huge inconvenience. I’m seriously considering changing banks.

Hi Mikapoo, we apologize for the inconvenience that it caused you. Currently, there are no reported system issues affecting the sending of OTPs. Please consider trying again later. Please don't hesitate to contact our 24/7 Customer Service Hotline (+632-88700-700 or domestic toll-free number 1-800-1888-5775) for immediate assistance.
If you're not receiving your OTP (One-Time Password), here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. Check your network connection: Ensure that you have a stable internet connection or cellular network. Poor connectivity can cause delays or prevent OTP messages from reaching your device.
2. Verify your phone number: Make sure that the phone number associated with your account is correct. OTPs are sent to the phone number registered with the service or application.
3. Check your spam or junk folder: Sometimes OTP messages can be mistaken for spam by your email provider or messaging app. Check these folders to see if the OTP message was filtered there.
4. Resend the OTP: Some services provide an option to resend the OTP if you haven't received it within a certain time frame. Try requesting a new OTP.

Not receiving OTP

I was able to successfully update my registered mobile number to my international number and everything is going okay until one day, I didn’t receive the OTP. I’ve been trying every day but the problem persists and I’m not sure why it stopped sending the OTP to my new number. It’s also not being sent to my old number so I’m not sure where it’s going. It’s frustrating that I can’t send money to my family.

I tried calling the customer support but it’s also asking for an OTP before I can talk to someone. That doesn’t make sense because that is my problem that I am trying to resolve. Now, I don’t know what to do anymore.

When calling, failure to enter the correct OTP for 3 times or don’t enter any account number, your call will be automatically be forwarded to our Phone Banking Officers. Thank you.
