In 2003 I bought a house with Citibank and I was able to manage my mortgage through the internet; schedule payments, add money to the principal and escrow accounts, etc. Now in 2006 I bought another house and can do the same with PennyMac. In 2022 I can’t believe I can’t do the same with BPPR. It is still a manual process where I need to call or send an email if I want add or remove the $100 that I am adding to the principal or if I want to schedule payments before the 15th of each month. Anyways I hope this could change for better sooner than later. Muchas gracias

Keeps locking me out

Although I can more than appreciate the focus on security, but over this year alone I’ve me locked out for my account more times than I can remember. Had issues when I changed my phone number last year since it was the only verification method. Will there be plans on using an actual Authenticator app or token to install? Or maybe even approval from another device logged into the same account. Not to mention if I need to link my account to my budgeting app or any other financial apps, it does not stay connected for long if it doesn’t trigger my account to require recovery once again. I can’t add my card to my Apple wallet or Cash-app. I do have it linked with my PayPal, but only can only use it to pay with PayPal online. Cannot use it to manually pay with the card or send money to personal or business contacts. Let alone transfer money to one of my other debit cards. I have seen some improvements in the years since I’ve had my account, the innovations seem slow and built on the original engine which, in my opinion what needs the update, not the add-ons, well the ones you don’t need to download an additional app to use. The core needs the update, then the integration of these other components such as ATH móvil, Authenticator and Zelle. Maybe better integration with Plaid. I don’t only use my account in PR, I do nee to use my account while I’m away.

If I get my password wrong more than once it automatically blocks me out. Wouldn’t be such a problem except in order to regain access I have to put in a bunch of information (including my account number which I didn’t know at the top of my head) except that every time I switch apps to retrieve this information it times out! So a NEW recovery link is sent and I have to start again. AND NOW IT WONT EVEN LET ME DO THAT. This thing has blocked me out so many times I learned my account number and now it wont even let me do the process on my phone. So if I want to do as much as check my balance pa no pasar bochorno en la fila de Church’s I have to pray that I don’t forget my password which mind you, I ONLY KEEP FORGETTING CAUSE I KEEP HAVING TO CHANGE IT. And if God forbid I do Im completely out of luck until I can get home and use my computer. I get it’s for safety and all but like this app has actually become laughably unusable for me. That’s not even mentioning how the transfer feature just straight up didn’t work for me until I called. I just want to see if I can get esos extra pechu bites or not in peace mano

New launch chime is tiring

Been using the app for years now, it works great and is honestly very nice and simple. It’s missing the niceties other larger American banks may offer but it’s otherwise quick and snappy and simple to understand. I do wish transfers felt a bit more responsive as they tend to feel like they hang, and that could be fixed with some UI/UX tuning. Lastly, they recently added a launch chime that drives me insane every time I open the app AND it seems to be playing on the media track on iOS cuz it will pause my music or podcast just to make sure I hear it. At the very least it should’ve been on the system notification track. It does however not play when I mute notifications so I might be wrong about the track it uses but if unmuted, it WILL pause your audio. Please offer the option to remove the chime on launch. I do not want to listen to this every day. :’)
