Splendid instruction
I’m an experienced professional artist in several other mediums other than oil. I’ve also studied under many masters to improve my skills in these other mediums. So…I’ve always had a strong interest in understanding and mastering the oil painting medium. I explored many online workshops, and online instruction by several masters. I settled on Michael’s courses fairly quickly. He covers many subjects and these subjects are complex, well lit with great shadows and the step by step instructions are nothing less than superb. His site is well organized, easy to navigate and he is easy to understand. I highly recommended studying under him here. Whether you’re a beginner or well skilled, you’ll not regret it. The cost is also fair as well. Enjoy!

MJS TV has exceeded my expectations. The content is amazing - I have learned so much that I have not seen anywhere else. My painting has improved as a result. And the technology works, so there is no frustration with constant buffering or other problems. You can also see the palette and the painting in progress at the same time, so you know how to mix the colors he is using and you have a clear view of brushstrokes.
I highly recommend this to anyone who is serious about improving their painting skills. He is an excellent teacher and tells you every step of the way what materials he is using and how he creating the effects. You will not be disappointed. Best series for painters that I have found and I have tried a bunch of them.
Awesome Instructor
I love this App! Michaels instruction and videos are perfect. I took classes from a “world reknown” artist for over a year for $150/month. I’ve learned more from Michael in two months than I learned the whole time from the more expensive guy. With my first oil painting ever I’ve had friends who can’t believe it’s not a photograph. I would have never learned how to do this on my own. I recommend this to anyone who wants to improve their “hyperrealism” skills. He helps you to mix color and even train your eye to see the real colors in photos. Highly recommend!
