  • Decades long user still happy

    DebKelley

It’s been so nice to be able to keep my email address and folders without disruption. Some of the newer features have left me puzzled, like stacked conversations and the forever moving around new mail icon. I am looking forward to better searching thru folders with AI, better formatting and editing and consistency in finding people from my contacts. An easy way to change settings to show only the message I’m working on and what I’m replying to would be appreciated as well.

  • Nice calendar compatibility with desktop Outlook but needs improved search

    MikeGilley

I’ve been using Microsoft Outlook for iPhone since its inception and have been happy with the overall quality and compatibility with Outlook on my Mac and PCs. I rely on my calendar and synch across my devices has been generally good. My biggest disappointment is with the search functionality which more than not fails to locate messages based on user names or content in a message. Reliable generalized search would be a valuable improvement.

  • 2026 Good, but needs to evolve more

I know this may never happen, but I would like to see the app seperate so we can have email and calendar open at the same time separately on iPhone and iPad. Calendar also needs to have a dedicated inbox for invites/changes just like Apple Calendar. Email needs to add email thread notifications so all email notifications can be turn off except for important threads alerts, and email also needs option to mark up and fill out PDF’s just like Apple Mail and Microsoft Edge has built in.

I have never had a problem with this app and I can report that it works great on my iPad and on my iPhone. I do prefer the layout of this app to other mail apps because I can see all of my most recent emails in one place, but I also can quickly check all of my other in boxes. It keeps my work organized. It can send large files. The text formatting can make emails more impactful and convey complex data in graphics and tables all within the email. Overall, 5/5.

  • Great iOS Mail App

Tbh I hadn't really thought about which email app provides the best mobile experience, but between the iOS default mail app, gmail, and Proton's app for mail, I'm surprised to admit that Microsoft Outlook is the only one that is so unremarkably easy to use and well designed without being either too many things or too few things at the same time that it's really pleasant to use. Probably the best email app for iOS. Gives me the fewest headaches out of 10!

  • Decent mail app

I use outlook daily as my main email app but It needs updating. They changed the icon for a more modern look but the app itself looks outdated and not modern. When you use the “new outlook” on a PC, it looks fresh and modern. They also need to include an all white screen. Get rid of the blue header bar or at least allow us to change it to all white. This was an option years ago. Also, sometimes my app freezes up and I have to delete email accounts then reload them to fix the issue.
