I love Middlesex Bank and I liked the layout and the up-to-date feature that lets you log in with your finger print ID, however I expected the new app to at least show detailed pending charges, like other banking apps. Both the desktop version and the original app show limited pending charges; Even though you can click ‘holds’ to see what comes next, it’s not complete —it doesn’t show what the charge is for/where it’s from. Also, if you make a payment or buy something online it doesn’t even appear on the ‘holds’. It's not only frustrating when you can’t remember where the pending charge is from but also sometimes you can forget about a payment or charge you made, and it doesn’t show. It would be so much more helpful and reassuring to have all the pending charges showing and with detail. And not only would it explain the difference between balances but it would be a good security feature to have in case there is fraudulent activity.

We are pleased to let you know that “pending charges” are, in fact, available in the new mobile app. To locate the pending charges, please select the account you are interested in and then tap the grey bar next to the account name. This will bring you to the account details screen where you will see the term "Holds" , after "Interest Rate" in the shaded grey box. Touch the word "Holds" and you will now be able to see all of your pending transactions. Please let us know if this addresses your concerns. I don’t think I have ever written an app review but I really feel the need to express my discontent with some changes to this app.
The bill pay interface is horrible! Before the changes it was quite user friendly. I could go to bill pay easily see what payments were pending and see my reminders for bills coming due. Now I can’t even figure out where to find that information! Why changes are made to make something so much less user friendly than it was is beyond me!
Nice app that seems to be user friendly. Basically okay for account balance info etc. but that was fine in the old app too. What ai thought would be a great improvement was eDeposit. Great idea!!! Too bad it doesn't work!!!!!!!
I have followed directions perfectly and get various error messages every time I tried it over the last two weeks.
0 for 5. That isn't a good average. As they say, 3 strikes your out, at the ole ball game!
