Mind Yeti is a mindfulness app designed for parents, educators, and clinicians working with youth. The app teaches mindfulness using fun characters, stories, and sounds that helps listeners calm down, focus, connect, and sleep. Created by nonprofit Committee for Children, the world leader in research-based social-emotional education, Mind Yeti’s guided audio sessions teach meditation in just minutes a day.

Parents and teachers worldwide use Mind Yeti to help kids:
+ Calm down
+ Get ready for bed
+ Reduce stress and anxiety
+ Focus at school and at home
+ Get along and be kind

Unlike meditation apps created for grown-ups, our sessions are specifically designed to meet the needs of users of all ages. Our audio sessions are short and use approachable language and simple metaphors to explain the abstract concept of mindfulness meditation in a way than can be easily understood, with familiar characters and environments that look and feel fun.

And best of all, our sessions work! Research shows that people who practice mindfulness demonstrate improvement in social-emotional skills such as emotion regulation, paying attention, and forming positive relationships.

Mind Yeti offers sessions on topics such as:
+ Getting ready for bed / going to sleep
+ Reducing stress / anxiety
+ Getting along with friends and siblings
+ Calming down / relaxing
+ Focusing before a test
+ Managing anger

The Power Portal is where users can discover their “Yeti Powers”— a set of seven mindfulness skills to help calm down, focus, and feel more centered any time, even when you’re not using the app:
+ Breath
+ Body
+ Thoughts
+ Feelings
+ Sensations
+ Gratitude
+ Kindness

“At first, I was like, ‘Why are we listening to this?’ But then, after a while, I was like, ‘Wow, this really helps,’ and I started using it all the time.” —Francis L., Fourth-Grader

Love the content, but hate the loading speed

I downloaded the free version of this app to help with my son’s ADHD. The sessions are the perfect length and my son adores doing them! I was even considering upgrading to the premium version. At first it worked great, but after a few months the app began to slow down and take 5-10 minutes just to open. Then last night it froze when I went to click on the library and has refused to unfreeze itself. I can’t access anything anymore.

App won’t work

I work in the behavior unit and seen some of our student use this app on an iPad and love how it works and helps. I decide to download on my phone (iPhone 7). It had been 8 mins and still going on loading. I took the app of and download again to see if it would help 10 mins and going! I’m way bummed out that it’s not working. I’m going to search for other apps that will work. If this issue ever gets fix I would for sure use this. My nephew would benefit from this app.

Slow, unreliable.

Why does this app take so long to load and have so many glitches? It’s essentially just a media player. Paid what in hindsight is an exorbitant amount for a premium subscription and I got locked out after 2 months and now the app won’t load on either my wife or my phone, just an endless loop of loading and refreshing.
