Minesweeper Classic Bomb Games 4+

This app was great when I first started playing it a few weeks ago. Then the game started freezing whenever I would win, this was mildly frustrating but I could restart the app and continue playing. I was excited to see an update to fix that issue. After the update the app is extremely slow. Just to open the app takes over a minute. Once the app is open it freezes for 15+ seconds whenever the difficulty is changed or a game is finished. Game play also seems to be laggy and glitchy. This is more frustrating than when the game would freeze when you won.

Update: deleting the app and re-downloading it seems to have fixed the issues, rating changed to 5 stars!

UPDATE: I just updated and it’s no longer crashing but I get a teal screen and nothing else :( I appreciate the team working on these bugs though ❤️

Ever since the newest update, my app has been crashing the moment it starts to open. Currently unplayable! Also, I’ve been playing for a long time and I have a few notable critiques.

First, I paid for the ads to be removed, HOWEVER, it also completely removed the option for me to watch an ad when I make a mistake. When I accidentally click a bomb, I have no choice but to restart the entire thing which has led to much frustration. I know before I paid for the ads to be removed I could still continue if I watched one. If I could maybe spend coins instead to continue it would be great.

Second, if you don’t do the daily minesweeper, you can’t access it. For example, if I don’t complete the daily game for today, Nov 14, I will never be able to access it to complete it. I understand that’s kind of the point, but many other games of this sort allow players to go back and play all the days they missed. It’s so satisfying to fill up a month worth of games. Maybe if there was a reward or some incentive to consistently do it everyday I would try harder or understand why I can’t access any previous daily’s, but there isn’t one.

Overall though, I like the game. It’s very fun and I play it every night before I sleep.

I really love the gameplay of this app. But the ads are a real problem. Some ads stay quiet with my phone set to vibrate and the game sound off. Others start blaring. That is a huge shortcoming to me. I’d also be open to paying a small fee to remove the ads yet that option is not available. I’ve played a lot of games in a short amount of time but I may have to go check out some of the other ones soon if the ad issues are not addressed.

I’m also updating my review and lowering my rating due to the content of the ads. Many of ads that keep showing up are for adult-oriented games. There needs to be some way to avoid that. I’ve attempted to report ads and I keep getting them anyway. There is no way I could let my kids play this game and I’m going to have to start looking for one they does not include the smutty ads. I’ve lowered my game rating accordingly. I love the game but the ads and type of ads make me no longer want to play this game.
