You are the legendary Minos Strategos (general of the ancient city of Minos)! Command the defenders of the temple by harnessing the power of specific battle formations to push back the Minotaur hordes. Minos Strategos is a quick single-player strategy game with a focus on elegance and clarity. Climb the single-player ladder as you devise flexible strategies, amassing an ever-growing collection of command cards as you go!

Inspired by the board game "Tash-Kalar" by Vlaada Chvátil, Minos Strategos has players creating, matching, and utilizing unit formations on an ever-changing battlefield. Unlock collectible command cards to summon powerful threats, clear large swaths of enemies in an area of effect, and form powerful chaining combos to play multiple cards in a single turn.

"[Minos Strategos] is quite likely to be the best digital game of 2017" -Keith Burgun (Lead designer of Auro, Dinofarm Games)

Hoplite with more complexity and depth

Best complement I could give this game is to put it on par with Hoplite or DreamQuest as one of the most brilliant and unexpected games I've played. Driven by simple mechanics, this game rewards tactical thinking, and has very little randomness (enemies all move based on strict rules, but are placed randomly).

I played this game for 5 hours straight the first time I installed it. Shortest flight I've ever had

Fantastic Board Game with Scaling Difficulty

Minos Strategos is a cross between Tash Kalar and Minesweeper. For those who haven’t played Tash Kalar, you can place or move pieces to create formations which allow you to play power cards.

Minis Strategos has a variety of interesting enemy types that force variation in strategy. It also has a scaling difficulty that means the game will always provide a solid challenge.

Im so sorry to leave first not 5 star review but

The unnecessary timer for your turns really does hurt my enjoyment of the game, theres sometimes a lot to take in and i can never feel relaxed and in the zone while trying to beat the timer. Its an absolutely fantastic game though, every bit as good as Solar Settlers and i still recommend it but expect the timer to be an annoyance.
