So sad

This application has been the best one I have used to manage my budget. There are other applications out there, but most use Plaid in the backend for the connections and I have not had a good experience with Plaid connectivity. The Mint Desktop design update that came with the app redesign is great in my opinion. The biggest value of Mint is the budgeting features. I have a Credit Karma account. Unfortunately, knowing my net worth without the ability to budget is worthless. To monitor my transactions, I can just go to my bank app. Since the budgeting features are not being moved, credit karma will just be a Mint app without the budgeting features. After all, outside of the budgeting features, they are both the same with different look and feel. Credit karma does have the auto insurance score which can help get a better deal in insurance. However, how often do people really shop for insurance? And, the insurance options offered do not guarantee a better rate than what you may currently have. I was willing to pay premium, but the premium features do not work and always crash when I tried to use them.

I understand what they are trying to do from a technology point of view, simplification, and cost reduction. Without the budgeting feature, credit karma will remain the same as it is today. I hope the credit karma team is paying attention to its customers on this one.

Very Helpful!!

I really appreciate Mint keeping track of my due dates. I have always budgeted on paper using rough estimates on bills that change every month (mostly utilities). It is great that Mint is able to connect to those accounts so I don’t have to take the time log into each site or find each email every month. I am still getting email reminders about my bills, but my accounts won’t show under the “monthly” tab/budget anymore. It is insanely convenient like I said, and as a single mom who works full time and goes to school, I have to find any little way to save time that I can. I’m not sure if this is a known issue, but I hope you guys can look into it! When it first stopped showing my accounts, I would close the app and reopen it a few times and then it would show my monthly bills and linked accounts, but for over a week, I have had no luck. And like I said, I know my accounts are still linked through Mint because I get emails, but even when I try clicking the “view through Mint or view through the app” (I can’t remember what it says exactly) it still won’t show in the app.
I love this app so much, even with this recent hiccup in displaying my accounts and due dates, I still rate it 5/5!! (As long as the hiccup is temporary - I will just go back to pen and paper soon since the monthly display/linked accounts is the best aspect for me/my lifestyle)

Almost perfect

I've been using Mint for years and recently started using it consistently. There's a lot to love about this program! I won't go into all of its great features because with this kind of rating, it's obvious that there are many!
Instead, I want to bring up a few minor nits that keep this from being perfect for me. First, there's differences between what you can do on the web version, the iPad version and the iPhone version. For instance, you can only create new tags on the web version. The reports are slightly different. The way you set date ranges are different. It's not intuitively obvious how to do the same function on a different platform. I can manage it, but trying to help my not-quite-as-tech-savvy wife understand why the capabilities and functionality is different on each platform is hard.
The second nit is that across all the platforms, I don't see a way to do multiple filters. For instance, if I want to see all my fuel purchases at king soopers for the last two months, I have to either search for the fuel category and look manually (or export to csv) or by merchant and look manually or... But there's no way to specifically look for all three criteria.
Similarly, when I get a list of transactions in the little pop up window on the web version, there's no way to export just those transactions. I have to copy and paste them out to transfer to a spreadsheet.
Besides these nits, I love the program. I use it daily and am mostly very happy with it!

Hi there, Thank you for this awesome feedback, we are thrilled you love Mint. Mint.com has all of the features of the app plus a lot of additional features that are not available on any other platform. The app is just a quick snapshot of the website. To help your categorization for transactions, you may want to change the rules of the category here:http://bit.ly/3ptfoWd. For more assistance, please reach out to our support teams on Facebook, Twitter, or via chat here:https://bit.ly/2NrRCZC. Regardless of the platform, you use us on, we're happy to have you in the Mint family. -Debra
