Poetic, meaningful, and full of artistic talent

I finished this game in one sitting. I was so excited when I bought it! The story begins with Yin and Yang which I am personally fascinated with. Throughout the story you learn new things about nature and how we as humans play into that role and affect it. It definitely is an abstract concept at times though so you really can’t take it all too literally but that’s what fits it so well with the art style and music. I can’t wait for the spring island to open up!
The main goal of the game is to collect all the paintings in each location by completing various tasks, though you don’t need all to move on. When I finished I hadn’t collected all of the paintings so I started over and found all but two. It’s a little frustrating at times but then again if it were easy it wouldn’t be much of a game.
Great work Martin. And for that matter everyone involved in this piece! I’m so excited for the future of this game. ⛩🐢🍵❄️

Pushing the boundaries of what a mobile game is

While immediately captivated by the beautiful imagery and the soundscape from the game, I was skeptical of how it would continue to draw you in and be more than just pleasing images to look at. After just 5 minutes of playing I was totally immersed in this gorgeous world and enjoyed every minute of it. I can’t wait for the next one.

Hi Cnbarringtonv2, Thank you for your kind words, it warms our hearts. We are glad that you were immersed in it. I think immersion was our primary goal and I hope nothing will break the illusion during the rest of your journey. We really tried to paint what is real.
For the next game, we will try to make it as immersive as we can. I am now thinking about the next season. I can't wait to discover how the bamboo forest grows. We will walk on the edge of a river and we'll wait for the rain to come. Once again, we will see the sun shafts of the red sun of Summer.

Not for me

I was looking forward to this game. Unfortunately I found the music annoying, not peaceful. There are no settings to speak of. Even most free games allow one to turn off the music but still listen to the ambient sound, and the nature sounds were beautiful. But for me to avoid the music, I had to mute my iPad. On my iPad Pro 11, navigation was difficult. I had to swipe about 10 times to turn 90 degrees. Maybe this works better on a phone. I know this is supposed to be meditative, but meditative does not have to mean slow or cumbersome. Sometimes I wasn’t sure if the hazy watercolor strokes were moving or if anything was happening. When the black screen appeared saying 'Loading...' I’d had enough. I’m sorry I bought this.

Developer Response ,

Hi Realitycheckinc, we thank you for your honest feedback. The game is indeed slow paced and we are truly sorry you didn't enjoy the music. We made the music with all our hearts, and to us, the music is part of the game and if we cut it off it would alter the art of the game itself. We really appreciate your feedback on navigation (if you quickly swipe you can make the camera move faster) and we will try to make it better for the next update. Thank you, Martin.
