Application to mirror the screen of your iPhone or iPad to any LG Smart TV. No wires and no additional hardware needed! You can mirror any app on your iPhone or iPad to your LG TV.
This works on any LG Smart TV from the 2012 models onward.
In using the app, there will be a couple of seconds of latency (usually between 1 and 3). So this mirroring is not suitable for gaming.
However, it is very suitable for watching movies, giving presentations, watching photos, and much more!
How the app works:
1. Make sure that your iPhone or iPad is connected to the same local network as your LG TV. Don't use multiple VLANs, a VPN or subnets.
2. Launch the Mirror for LG TV app. It will start looking for your LG TV(s) on your local network. When a TV is found, please select it. When you use this app for the first time, depending on your model LG TV, the TV might ask you to "allow" the connection. In that case, take your TV Remote Control and press OK to allow the connection from your TV to your iPhone or iPad.
3. Turn on notifications for this app. We will not spam you, but we will use this to let you know if your TV is working correctly or not. So please, please allow it, otherwise when things don't work as they should, you are left in the dark.
4. Click on Start Mirroring to start mirroring on the TV that is currently selected. After that, you can just go to any other app on your iPhone or iPad and the mirroring just continues to run.
5. To stop mirroring, there are two options. (1) click on the red top bar that you will see on your iPhone or iPad. (2) Go to the Mirror for LG TV app and click on Stop Mirroring.
Limitations and known issues:
Some apps block Screen Mirroring. This means that application developers can choose themselves if they want to block Screen Mirroring. For instance, Netflix, Disney and AppleTV+ have decided to block this.
There is a simple test that you can do to see if the app that you want to mirror has blocked Screen Mirroring:
Open that particular app and slide up Control Center on your iPhone/iPad. Then, click on Screen Recording and start recording the screen to your Camera Roll. Watch the app that you want to mirror and at some point stop the screen recording. Then go to your Photos app and watch the video that was recorded. If the recorded video shows the app you want to mirror, it works fine. If the video is empty, then the app you want to mirror does not allow Screen Mirroring.
About Screen Recording and Privacy
Even though there are notifications about Screen Recording, we don't record your screen into files and we don't send any content to a server. We only temporarily store data in memory, before it is streamed to TV. Upon streaming, the content is removed from memory.

"Mirroring made Easy" - 5 STARS - by JBGuam
Absolutely great app, worked seamlessly with my tv, lag was minimal, but to be fair only receiving 40-45 mbs instead of 100+ mbs in the particular room I tried this. Should be even better with faster internet speeds.
"Works Great!!" - 5 STARS - by czerkman
Not sure why others had problems, I followed the directions and it worked perfectly. Ingenious idea from a developers standpoint.

Works, but lag is very prevalent
This app does work...but as most reviews have stated, the lag is so prevalent that many uses of this simply are not feasible.
On every complaint review, it seems the developers asked the reviewer for info to try and “solve the bug” or whatever. You can read those yourself. Those reviews are correct - the lag is bad ; some things reduce it, but never enough that it’s not an issue. So hopefully the devs don’t reply to this asking for more of the same ...
I’ve tested this with perfect conditions to remove that lag - literally using wired connections on the TV *and* the IOS device(s), it can reduce that lag (minimum possible was maybe 3s) - but that’s still bad enough this isn’t good enough for many functions.
So depending on what you need this for, it may be fine - but for live presentations, don’t even consider it. Use *only* an hdmi out cable for the iPad or iPhone if you’re presenting and can’t bear several seconds of lag.

Hi, thanks for your purchase. We regret to hear that you are having issues with the latency. This should be around 1-3 seconds. In the App Store description and as well in all our instruction videos we clearly do not recommend our app for high-intensity use because of those few seconds delay. For instance, playing puzzles or quizzes on your TV should not be a problem. However, you can use our app in many other ways, like sharing photos and videos with your family, friends or colleagues. We hope you can improve our star rating with this information.
Wow! Amazing Service!
Downloaded this app tonight in preparation for in home schooling for my twins Monday. I wanted to be able to display some of the celebrities reading books and other educational sites for us to learn together on Monday. I couldn’t get the tv hooked up and emailed diagnostic support and the response was fast and effective. They responded immediately- asked a few questions- sent me back guidance on what to do and it worked and we are connected and ready for Monday. Thank you so much!! Really really really great service on a late Saturday night. Thank you again!!
Buffers all the time.
I use the app to stream from Peloton App on my iPad to my LG-TV. I also get the weird crop, which I assume is just a data issue from the iPad to the TV, not an issue with the purpose I have. my HUGE issue is even on pre-loaded content I get buffering and lag. There is significant lag between the iPad and the TV, again don’t really care. The buffering is a huge issue, hard to get a consistent work out looking at a rolling series of balls on the screen. I have not found the work around yet. I could just go back to HDMI cord and my laptop, just wanted a more convenient solution.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to write a review about our Mirror for LG Smart TV app. When video buffers a lot, this is most of the time due to (temporary) poor local network conditions. Usually, that is fixed by switching your router off and on. If that does not fix the problem, please send us your diagnostics information (you can do this from within the app). When we receive this information, we can check if there is something amiss in the communication between your LG TV and your iPad in your local network.
