I want to start off by highlighting the reason that’s gonna keep me on this app. I started to leave feedback in the app and it created it as a text message in very quickly. I found out that the person responding to the text message was a real human and very likely the developer themselves. What ended up being confusion on my part was met with understanding and explanation by the developer. Well, I’m pretty tech forward… I’m not health conscious and understanding how calories and daily net calories with intake calories are all different was a hurdle for me. This app made the difficulties of something like MyFitnessPal and tracking to be a little bit easier. The ability to chat with AI about my daily plan or options to eat really makes it easier for someone who travels a lot from work and has to eat at restaurants. Sometimes the AI can be a little wonky when it comes to labels and portions but overall easy things to overcome.

Great interface and extremely easy to use. I randomly decided to give this app a shot looking for an easy to use food journal and have now switched full-time to using this to track my calories and macros too. I am actually shocked I haven’t heard of it before. It’s 100% easier to use than other well known tracking apps. Love that you can just type in what you are eating with weights instead of having to select things individually like you do on MFP. I actually really like the chat feature too. If you prompt with the right questions, you really get some good feedback. This app took everything wrong with the well known tracking apps and fixed it, all with an easy to use format. Great tool overall!

So far I love the app. I like that I can ask how much potassium I have had for the day, magnesium, salt and that it tracks calories, proteins and carbs. It is quick and simple. I tested Chat GPT yesterday and it seems like the free version can do the same thing for me so I am struggling making the jump to a yearly subscription but I am thinking about it because I feel this app is a little more organized than Chat GPT. After my trial is over I’m going to try Chat GPT for a few days, but if it’s gets to be where I am missing Mist I’ll get a year subscription because I think it will truly help me. I just can’t justify the high cost yet if Chat GPT can do the same thing for me.

With other apps, tracking often felt like a chore. Mist makes the process easy, and the built-in AI assistant provides meaningful guidance, letting me know whether I’m on track and how to fine-tune my diet based on my goals. The ability to add co-morbidities, which the assistant actively factors into its recommendations, is a particularly valuable feature.
