Dear developer: THANK YOU. You’ve unlocked what was missing from Blackmagic’s system. It’s evident you had a passion to deliver a solution that so many people wanted but didn’t have. You brought an extremely polished and well thought-out product to the world of Blackmagic. This app allows me to remotely setup, execute, and maintain a live broadcast… and so much more. I can even hop between my ATEM 2/ME and my ATEM Mini Pro systems since they’re on the same network. You’ll find this app to be the perfect counterpart to the Mini Pro. It allows you to setup and monitor livestreams and recordings from an iPhone or iPad, so you don’t need to keep a computer around for the ATEM software. When I got the Mini Pro and discovered it only had a button for UPstream, I found my workaround in this app because it has the downstream keys. Super helpful!There’s a LOT to this app. I can’t cover everything (nor should you have to read my many words!) Download it, try the gracious 30 day free trial, then buy it. Support the developer! There are frequent updates with bug fixes and even new features. Completely worth the price. Thank you again!

This app is a must-have for live broadcast ATEM workflow. My ISO Extreme runs streaming and distribution in our livestream-enabled performance venue. As the operator I am a one man tech team and I must on occasion sprint across the floor to deal with (insert gig nightmare here) and having MixEffect on my hand ensures the booth is never left alone. I can sit at the bar and control my livestream, video distribution, camera audio levels, supersource, you name it. All with a beer in my other hand, or while problem solving on stage. I can watch a distro monitor and keep myself out of the active camera shot. I can switch to image and mute audio in an emergency while sitting on the toilet. Best $50 I ever spent on this iPhone.

I downloaded the 30 day trial version and had a pretty complicated set up that I was trying to implement in my recording studio with the VFA feature and multiple cameras and audio sources. when I sent a support request through the app the developer himself scheduled a time to work through my issues with me. Adam spent quite a bit of time working with me and was incredibly kind. I was able to achieve what I wanted with his help and this app and I can see it is capable of so much more. The versatility and customizability is incredible. MixEffect has brought a whole new dimension to the ATEM hardware. 5 stars all the way.

This is easily my favorite app of all time. I have a half dozen ATEM switches including an ATEM 4/ME Broadcast Studio 4K and the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO. I learned about this app when it was in Beta from a fellow Office Hours panelist. I was immediately hooked. What a huge productivity enhancer! The Super Source Features are just awesome and the added power of shortcuts is just a match made in heaven. Thanks for bringing this much needed app to market! As a mobile and backend developer myself, I can appreciate the amount of work that a project like this requires. Keep up the great work! I can’t wait to see what comes up with next!!!

I use the ATEM HD which is rackmount and does not have the full work surface. This app just made it so easy to pull up dsk’s and auto fade in or out. Upstream key features are very intuitive and make it a breeze to setup a P.I.P. function. No more being locked at a certain chair. If I need to move around I can grab my iPad and switch on the run. Also records the stream which is a nice add on to use as a backup recorder. Worth the price, but it would have been nice if BMD included with their hardware. At least a savvy developer saw the demand and built this excellent app.

All the features of the ATEM become accessible through MixEffect. Somethings that can take hours to get right on with the ATEM software (macros) can be done and polished in just a few minutes! Setting up super sources with their transitions can also take hours to get just right, now are 5 minute simple tasks. This is a game changing application that pays you back on your first production with it. It triples the value of your ATEM switchers.
