In July of 2021, the state of Missouri implemented Bill 262, imposing an increasing gas tax every year until 2025 for gas purchased within the state of Missouri. Starting in 2021, up to 2.5 cents per gallon of purchased gas in MO will be refundable, and increasing by 2.5 cents in each fiscal year until 12.5 cents per gallon in 2025. Taxpayers must claim a refund by completion of the Missouri Motor Fuel Tax Form (MO4923- H).
The MO Gas Tax Back app makes tracking your Missouri gas receipts easy, and completes your Missouri Motor Fuel Tax Form (MO4923-H) so you just need to submit it to the state of Missouri.
