A safe and wholesome place
I’ve had mochi for almost 3 months now and I can truly say it has turned into my favorite app. Everyone is wholesome and inclusive as well as very supportive. Even though there are people from all over the world, it is easy to make friends and chat with anyone. The developer is very active and works hard to make improvements and often asks for suggestions on what we want to see happen with the app and what should be changed, and any technical problems that happen are solved as soon as possible. I have never seen a developer work as closely with or be as active with people on their app like this developer. Mochi is a wonderful app and is continuing to grow, and has definitely helped me make many friends and deal with difficult struggles these past few months
Honestly, so few social media platforms are genuinely GOOD places to be. In one way or another, they end up being pressuring or damaging. Mochi is nothing like that. The people are supportive and open-minded, caring and considerate, and willing to listen and share.
On the rare occasions where someone posts triggering or harmful content, the mods are quick to either delete the post or mark it as sensitive (meaning you have to click to view the post and are aware it may contain triggering content).
The anonymity the app offers is also very comforting. There's no pressure to share your appearance or any personal information, as, instead of usernames and profile pictures, there are simply emojis. If you want to gush about how good you look in a selfie, there are separate group chats for sharing photos of yourself. All in all, it's a great platform for people uncomfortable with sharing personal information and those who don't like to be pressured into it by others.
There's a large span of ages, genders, sexualities, races, ethnicities, and even things as simple as interests and hobbies. It's an incredibly diverse population.
If you're looking for a platform chock-full of wholesome LGBT+ and questioning people, Mochi is the place for you.
A great community and an amazing experience!
The best part of this app by far is the community. A group of passionate, kind, caring people looking out for each other and maintaining a safe space for all LGBTQIA+ users! Whatever few toxic posts pop up get removed almost instantly, with a dedicated developer overseeing everything and keeping the app safe.
There’s a ton of fun to be had in the group chats, where you can meet people with similar interests. It’s so easy to make friends, I definitely found some good ones in the few months I’ve been using it. The world board is also great, because you’re never sure what’s gonna come up, but you always know it’ll be something good, whether it’s a plant, a pet, a motivational message, or even a meme!
The few problems the app has are only small technical glitches, and they’re being improved all the time. Even after just a few months, the app is so much more fully featured, and it’ll only continue to get better with an upcoming update!
If you’re in the LGBT+ community and you haven’t downloaded yet, you gotta get it! It’ll be a great experience that could change your world! (headpats)
