After using Momento, Awesome note, Evernote, and Day One clearly this is the best app for taking down your quick thoughts. This is an amazing app, My only concern is storage. I believe you should save your information in three formats. Paper, digital, and cloud. Paper and digital or easy, but cloud allows me to access my information no matter what the circumstances may bring. I know that this is meant to be a private diary, but I am a father, capturing the life of my kids, I don't want to accidentally destroy my phone and lose all this precious information because I forgot to sync every two weeks. Please consider a cloud-based option either Evernote, iCloud, or just some random online storage site like Dropbox. I know that we won't be able to capture everything like video and maybe pictures but some stuff is better then none at all. Thank you all for your hard work and commitment on this app. Truly you have improved out lives by having us capture what truly is important. God Bless you
I love this Diary App to quickly write down my daily thoughts, activities, and to use as a personal diary. I like the ability to include pictures when describing precious moments with friends, family, on outdoor trips, or just for recording intimate daily thoughts. It helps me look back and see the progress I am making when dealing with my personal and spiritual goals. I can then make a complete permanent diary by transferring my diary entries and saving them in a complete form to be printed. I have not found it yet, but an option to print diary pages would be great to print them directly from the App. I like having a hard copy of diary entries because as we know, all digital devices will crash and data will be lost. In any case great Diary App. I use it often.PASteelSpine
I use this for recording when I sleep and wake as well as when I have a seizure. It's easy to change the times if I need to enter a seizure earlier that day. My only criticism is I have to be careful to enter the seizure before whatever is current because the entries stay in the order of entry rather than the time stated for each entry. The basic stars and cloud/lightening icons work fine for me. The stars go on the calendar for a seizure day. The cloud indicates an aura and a lightening bolt indicates a seizure. I can change the color of the date if something happened (aura) that doesn't deserve a star, like a seizure. Other actions get other colors on dates of the monthly calendar. Dr. Appts, and so on. I love this program. I use it several times a day.
I like the trivial little thoughts that pop into my head, and they often prove useful in my work. Sometimes when I'm driving, I do small voice recordings. I also like taking photos of random things and captioning them. However, I don't like giving other people access to these thoughts, especially not my Facebook friends. This app is exactly what I wanted. It keeps all that stuff together, organized in a timeline, easy to access, ad it allows me to customize the color scheme. And unlike Facebook, Flickr, Path, Tumblr, Twitter, etc. I don't have to sign up for an online account and worry about not setting up the privacy properly and accidentally having my information exposed. This is a wonderful app.
This app is perfect for me (I'm using it to document my emotions/feeling multiple times a day). I needed an app that automatically keeps track of date and time of each entry, and after trying 10 apps this one does exactly what I want. There are no ads visible in the app, it's simple and straightforward, no annoying menu or confusing icons. I hate unnecessary buttons. It gets the job done and automatically attaches easy time stamps and dates to every entry (they are editable). I saw the one star review already on here and I have no clue what that person didn't like about this app. It's literally perfect in my eyes. So yeah, highly recommend this!!!! Simple, easy, direct!
This really is a great application for recording events...keeping a journal. It allows multiple entries on the same day, or separate entries, if that is what you want. It also allows for multiple photos. I do wish it could sync with my other devices thru the cloud, but to compensate for that I send entries at the end of every month the entries for that month to EverNote. It is inconvenient, but it only takes a minute and it avoids the insecurity of the cloud. I have been using the app for a couple of years now and altho I have tried other apps like momento and one note, Moment Diary is still the best.
