Lots of room for development

This app is like Peanut, with fewer features and options. I think people need to be prompted to personalize their profiles more, because it’s really hard to tell if you’d like someone’s company from the available info - a tiny bio and a bunch of ore-canned tags. Also, the profile should be right under the photo, one shouldn’t have to click on “View Profile” to see bio - obviously we’re going to need to see bio and not just base our decision on a photo, lol. The app has some technical kinks to work out too - for example, each time i opened the app I was prompted to complete my profile and had to click “continue” 3 or 4 times, despite my profile having been filled out. The disclaimer when you install the app claims there’s three ways to get an account, including with an email, but in reality you can only register with a facebook or an apple id. No way to filter searches by child age or any other applicable data, and few users - as a result, I didn’t find anyone in my city I felt compelled to swipe right on.

Hi! MomieGo is community built so parent feedback is always appreciated. Similar apps have launched since MomieGo but there's still nothing quite like MomieGo. We're just excited that people are recognizing the importance of having parent-friends and that there are finally a few more resources to help! The "continue" prompt is an easy troubleshoot: Allow While Using must be switched on for MomieGo in your locations settings. Go to Settings > Privacy > Locations> MomieGo. Our location-based feature is for security purposes, the app will not work if this is not switched on in your device. Hope this helps!

This app saved my marriage!

Thank you so much MomieGo. We two under five and my husband and I were driving each other crazy. To the point where the D word was mentioned. Our therapist told us we needed friends but finding them was exhausting. We eventually stopped seeing her but she called us out of the blue a couple months later to tell us about MomieGo app. Another client couple once on the brink of D swore by it. And they were right. We both found our best friends in the app and now all of us have a really cool squad going. Most importantly my husband and I are like high school sweethearts again! I can’t thank you enough for creating this app for parents. You saved us! THANK YOU

Great for parents on the run

I’m lucky enough to be blessed with great friends. But that doesn’t mean we all started our families at the same time. And right as you want to connect with people who’s kids are at similar developmental milestones as your child, you loose the time to think straight. A friend told me about this app and since then I’ve gone on a bunch of meet ups and made awesome friends (& same is true for my kids)! Concerns I’ve read on here about negative comparisons to Tinder are silly. MomieGo (really its ParentGo) is a great way to find parent friends on the fly, no judgement, no fuss... and for those of us who’s dating years ended pre-Tinder, now we don’t feel left out of the future!
