Our mobile app for visual content creators enables wireless monitoring, high-precision exposure adjustment, and focus control on the larger screen of your smartphone or tablet

Features of Monitor & Control

Highly flexible shooting style
Use your smartphone or tablet as a wireless second screen for the camera, to set up and control the camera remotely

Precise exposure monitoring*
Your larger smartphone or tablet screen can serve as a waveform monitor, false-colour, histogram and zebra display, supporting more precise exposure adjustments at production
*When using BURANO and FX6, the application must be updated to ver.2.0.0 or later, and the camera body must also be updated to BURANO Ver.1.1 or later, FX6 Ver.5.0 or later

Intuitive focus controls:
Easy access is provided to various focus functions, including touch focus and AF sensitivity adjustment. A control bar on the side of the screen enables intuitive focus setting.

Adjustment of colour settings
Monitor & Control provides control of Picture Profile / Scene file settings, LUT switching, and other operations. Additionally, LUT can be applied in Log shooting so that an image resembling the finished image after post-production can be checked on a larger screen during recording.

Advanced operability delivers ease of use for creators
The frame rate, sensitivity, shutter speed, ND filter*, look, and white balance, which need to be operated frequently during shooting, can be remotely controlled using the monitor of a smartphone or tablet. In addition, the user interface is the same as that of the Sony CineAlta body as represented by VENICE, providing the same operability as the body.
* When using a camera not equipped with an ND filter, the ND filter item will not be displayed and will be left blank.

Multi Camera Monitoring
Up to four cameras can be connected wirelessly to a single iPad, their images displayed and shot, with operations including start/stop recording, and the display of settings list and battery level. Since multi-angle shooting with multiple cameras can be operated from a single device, work that previously required multiple people can now be done by a single person.
* Requires iPadOS 16.0 or later.

Operating environment:
iOS 16.0 - 17.3
iPadOS 16.0 - 17.3

Remarks:
This application is not guaranteed to work on all smartphones and tablets.

Richard D. D. ,

Aspect ratios!

Please add the ability to overlay aspect ratios so we can review our footage in the proper format.

And custom aspect ratios as well! Just like the cameras. 🙏🏽😌

and is there anyway to improve the resolution being streamed?

Update Firmware to 4.0: Comments filled with user error

TLDR: Great app, adds amazing functionality to an already amazing camera.

Everyone complaining thier camera can't connect has no idea what they're doing. Before you download and try to connect with this app, install firmware 4.0 on your FX3, or the latest version of the compatible firmware for your camera.

For those complaining about monitor lag, there is a toggle to toggle priority between dispaly speed vs monitor image quality, try that first.

For those that are complaining about the app asking for permissions, Apple forces all apps that need/can save images to your camera role for each permission the app needs. Sony is not interested in stealing ot using your data, unless you give them permission. You can turn off the toggles to share data in this app and the creator app if you just read the terms of service options before you hit accept and toggled them off.

Sony, you can do a better job of letting people know the requirements before attempting to connect to thier cameras.
PLEASE add shutter angle to the FX3 and this program (currently only works with FX6), I also wouldn't mind open gate recording. Thanks!

Yeah, B.S., You don’t need “Percise Location” access

As the same for this as the Creator’s app you demand access to camera roll, location data and Precise location at that, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc. You, Sony, are over stepping on privacy. Give me a break. I (potentially) only need wired LAN to make this work, and even then you could make it work over a USB connection.

I don’t need you collecting every bit of data on me to use simple features. You want to make money? Then just charge me for the app, and make it a perpetual license.
