Monument Valley 3 NETFLIX 4+

No game like this series

Ive been a MV fan since the 1st game. This game has always made me feel feelings like i never have before. While i found them to have little replay-ability, i always find myself loving the games. Monument Valley II was just as magical and made me feel like that little 7 year old again. Then… Monument Valley III. This game one again exceeds my expectations. Im absolutely thrilled about this game and I have finished it. I was going to give it 4 stars, due to a lack of replay ability but then the game mentioned more content and I’m just so excited to play the seasonal content it mentioned.

Monument Valley is unlike any game series ive ever played. It’s story is vague but so grasping. It pulls you in. The trippy puzzles and jaw dropping visuals makes you beg for more. I feel like im 7 again. I was screaming over reading simple dialogue and finishing levels like i did all those years ago. Noor is also a beautifully designed character. While Ida is always my #1, Noor is just flawless despite her very simple look. The levels are so beautiful and make you pause to just admire the work and beauty in them before continuing onward. I cant recommend this game enough. This game is wonderful. 10/10.

A stunning addition to the first games

I wish I could thank every single person who worked on this personally! I love monument valley and the new story and art did not disappoint. I saw a few reviews talking about how the puzzles were “easy to solve” and how the narrative “didn’t make sense” and all I have to say to that is 1) monument valley is a kid friendly game and always has been, the difficulty level really has not changed much, some levels are a tad shorter but I think the exploration into new game mechanics more than makes up for it, and 2) the narrative makes just as much sense as the other stories in previous games, it’s got an abstract feel to it, but that has always been the storytelling style.

Anyways, I loved the game, and I’m so excited for more!! I wish you could purchase it separately from Netflix though.

Not the same

I have always loved the monument valley games and I’ve recommended them to all my friends but this one feels different. I don’t love the controls the sliders move a little too fast and they are positioned in spots on the side of the screen which makes it difficult to navigate and control. The soundtrack isn’t my favorite and doesn’t match the theme. The colors feel rushed and do not give off the same effect as the first two. The transitions between chapters is kinda choppy and it doesn’t convey the mood of what the characters are experiencing it lacks that magical teleportation like we got with ida. The dialogue feels rushed and not thoughtful like the past games have you don’t get drawn into the main characters quest. I’ve been trying to get sucked into the story like I have with the past two but It just misses the mark. I was super excited to try this one out after I had played the first two and it just lacks the story the controls the color and the puzzle. I enjoyed the boat portion it was different but I wish that the game was more thought through before it was released it feels rushed and unfinished. I would have wished that instead of rushing to release this game that time was taken to perfect this game. I’m disappointed.
