I created an account so I could fill up my water jugs without driving back home after forgetting my debit card. I have my card number memorized so I thought this would be useful since the water machine didn’t accept Apple Pay directly. Unfortunately the app declined my card upon setup multiple times. I double checked it was entered correctly, and even drove back home to get my card and it worked fine directly on the machine. Would have been nice if Primo water machines had Apple Pay so I could have avoided this useless experience. I deleted the app and my account deleted immediately after this waste of time.

We're sorry that Monyx did not work for you. We'd like to help see if we can get it to in the future. First, Primo machines and the devices connected to them should have no issue with accepting Apple Pay. Second, we are aware of issues uploading cards to Monyx. I am the owner of the machines and for a good while I couldn’t connect to any machines (for remotely paying if need be). My devices were att and they had it set as Verizon at Nayax. Once they changed that one of my 3 machines worked soon after. When I called back in for the other two they said that the machines were connecting on their end. I forced restarted my app and kept clicking into each of the two machines and still they showed “offline.” Finally I toggled the “nearby” setting and they showed connected. King of weird but once that worked, the remote pay is pretty amazing! Another thing is that for owners you need to call in so that they can give you a virtual money card, so you can remotely pay for someone’s product without it coming out of your actual money. Good app!

It supposedly allows the option to load funds through a Visa or Mastercard credit card & PayPal. However, only the PayPal option works, when trying to add fund through the credit card, you get a “error: failed to parse server response” message. I’ve been getting this error for over two weeks, so I know it isn’t an outage. If app development is not your thing, or if it has never occurred to you to look at the error logs on your APIs (hopefully you log something) please change careers and let someone else do a better job.
