Find out if you have a mental health condition with our nationally recognized assessment.

Mooditude is the #1 App trusted by clinical psychologists, therapists, and mental health counselors for its comprehensive self-care tools and mental health courses. Mooditude is the ONLY app you need on your phone to elevate your mood!

Mooditude uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) — the gold standard of talk-therapy. Multiple studies show that computer-based CBT is as effective as face-to-face therapy. Mooditude is a fantastic alternative or companion to in-person therapy sessions.

In its simplest form, CBT hypothesizes that your perceptions of events influence your emotions and behaviors. Meaning, it is not a situation in and of itself that determines what you feel but rather how you construe a situation.

Mooditude aims to change your thought patterns, conscious and unconscious beliefs, attitudes, and, ultimately, your behavior to help you face difficulties and achieve your goals.

Mooditude starts with recording your moods in what CBT professionals call a Thought Record with just a few taps. You can discover what triggers your mood and what actions help you calm down.

Mooditude offers exercises that you can do multiple times to spot inaccurate thoughts that reinforce your negative thought patterns or emotions.

8 Essential CBT Exercises and multiple guided journal-prompts help you challenge your inaccurate thoughts and replace them with more logical and accurate opinions.

Activities like Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR), Breathing, Meditations, and journaling allow you to regulate your emotions.

Goal and Routine modules use behavioral techniques in building positive habits and sustaining your emotional gains.

Mooditude lets you recover from mood-disorders in a short time. It is a hands-on approach that requires you to be invested in the process and actively participate. If you feel stuck, you can rely on other Moodituders — a thriving and supportive community who get you and help you without any judgment.

Do not substitute seeking professional care for any mental/psychiatric disorder with the app's information or associated websites or links. If you are in crisis, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255.

Honestly, truly, 100% AMAZING!

I usually don’t rate apps on the app store, but this app is so amazing, I felt it was needed. Let me just start by saying that this app is super easy to use! Most apps like this are extremely confusing and don’t have a good setup. This app, however, has a great setup and it easy to use. The app easy to set up, which I find helpful. The app lets you set preferences, set a lock for the app, and make the app your own. The app gives you a choice to pay, but everything is still included WITHOUT PAYING! I found this very helpful (being a teenager who doesn’t have a lot of cash, but still has a lot of emotions), and you will too. It lets you add pictures, videos, notes, and more, and it is all super accessible and easy. It is great to help keep track of emotions and what causes certain emotions. It helps me organize what I need to do. Another great feature of this app is that it helps to set habits for sleep, excercises, and meditation. Please download this app to support this company!

Really Helps Me Map My Triggers

This app has truly helped me during a time frame when I can’t see an actual therapist due to insurance reasons. My friends are definitely sick of hearing my fears, anxiety and stress about my LOL but in reality this app has help me realize that if I get bad sleep or lack of sleep my anxiety, social anxiety and depression is really bad the next day. Which is some thing with a therapist I never really would’ve realized. Also I use only the free version (I am disabled and not yet receiving my SSDI) But the free version has VERY helpful things such as the uplifting quotes or meditations or jokes to help put me in a better mood OR perspective. I like the random things they ask you to write about like “things to be appreciative about that day” helps me put my life and a better perspective. Only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because I wish there was a way to combine all the checkmark things that I’m doing for the day and be able to write about my day in one pass instead of having to go through it all over again. But all in all this is a great app I would recommend it even to people who are in therapy or group counseling it’s really a great tool to better mental health! Great for teens too, my niece is using it to deal with her teenage issues without worrying about peer influence or gossip. Helps her a lot!

Great app, would definitely recommend.

I am a chronically ill with some debilitating illnesses as well as a wife, mom, stepmom and I also try to be a good friend. The stress of it all takes an incredible toll on your mental health, especially during a time like now with COVID and a lot of isolation and tension in the world.
My medical team encouraged me to find apps that would suit me and support me that I could use daily, that some even accepted insurance. I stumbled on Mooditude and though I’m still getting the hang of it, a quick check in even if it’s just tapping some icons of what I’m feeling while I’m running after a baby is actually really helpful. The downside for me would be the financial side once my grant runs out (Thank you Mooditude team!)
This app has SO much potential to grow therapeutically and help people like me who are isolated due to illness, struggle with depression and social anxiety, and so much more. It could really bring the world together. I personally would love a forum where tired parents could just sit and vent over virtual coffee and talk about anything and everything! But yes. I definitely recommend!

Thanks for the advice ZebraMama03! We will definitely look into creating that!

Also, if you are worried about your grant, we encourage you to keep an eye out for our emails in the next few weeks. We're going to be discussing how our grant awardees can extend their monthly premium access by giving back to Mooditude! If you have any questions, email Thanks so much!
