Moodshare is a platform for online group therapy guided by a licensed therapist. Find people who are experiencing similar difficulties and start your journey for a better you with the help of a mental health professional.

You will attend a 1-on-1 introductory session with your therapist after you create your account. This will give your therapist the opportunity to get to know you personally and assign you to their groups tailored for you.

You, the group members, and your therapist share a private space on Moodshare. You will attend weekly therapy sessions on live video once the group has 5 members and a therapist. It usually takes between 3-7 days to find 5 participants for any group.

The group therapy sessions are on a pay as you go plan. You will not be charged for any group therapy session you don’t attend. The individual group therapy sessions are $29.99 per session. You may also elect to purchase therapy sessions from the following packages:

- Basic Package, 4 Sessions – $109.99 (about $27.50 per session)
- Standard Package, 12 Sessions – $299.99 (about $25.00 per session)
- Longevity Package, 28 Sessions – $599.99 (about $21.50 per session)

Depending on the attendance at the group therapy session (if the number of participants is less than 4), the session may be canceled. If that is the case you will be refunded 1 therapy session in the form of a single credit which will appear on the “Balance” page.

You will not be charged for the intro session that is conducted after you create your account.

The therapists on Moodshare are licensed, trained, experienced, accredited and vetted psychologists (PhD / PsyD), clinical social workers (LCSW / LMSW), licensed professional counselors (LPC) or marriage and family therapists (LMFT). They have been qualified and certified by their state’s professional board after successfully completing the necessary education, exams, training and practice. While their experience, expertise and background vary, they all possess at least 3 years of clinical experience.

The group members are individuals who are seeking help such as yourself. We do our best to match you with people that are going through what you’re going through. If you feel your group and therapist isn’t a good fit for you, you may elect to be matched to a different group and therapist.

A new way for therapy skeptics

After signing up I was given three therapist options to select from. It was great to see their bios and specialties in their profiles and I thought I could connect with one of them so I scheduled a meeting with her for the next day. We met the next day and she was very relatable and she seemed very experienced. Later I was added to a group where I waited for five days for the other clients I guess. We agreed on a group time for 7 pm every Thursday and we are meeting regularly for 2 weeks now. Everything has been smooth sailing so far. I would highly recommend this app.

This app does a great job matching you

Ive only had one group session(plus the 1 on 1) but I can already tell that this app does a great job matching people. My therapist is really resourceful and my group is very insightful about my problems. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to find people like them.

Live video chat only

I was skeptical after my therapist told me there’d be only live video chat sessions with basically random people on the internet but I went along with it and joined her group on depression. On our first meeting she did a great job in setting a group code which everyone was very receptive to. It had things like joining the group in a private space, keeping what is said in these sessions to ourselves, not responding to distractions like phone calls etc. Seeing everyone agreeing to it made me a little more comfortable.
We continued the session from there and towards the end I kinda liked that we were having live sessions where I could see the face of my therapist and other participants while talking. I liked getting responses as soon as I said or asked something.
I found that in text therapy I’m constantly waiting for the response of my therapist when I need help. And when they respond I’m no longer in that headspace where I need help and want to talk about my problems. It makes it tough for me to go back and forth throughout the whole day. I think we had a great first session which lasted about an hour and I very much enjoyed it.
