I like Moondrop’s products; however, they need to put more work into their app, especially for people using their TWS’s. I have the Golden Ages, and the app does not let me change between “Reference,” “Monitor,” and “Basshead.” The app UI and connecting to my TWS is terribly slow. Also, in the screenshots section of this app’s page, the Space Travel is spelt “Space Ravel.“ Moondrop’s been dropping lots of products, so maybe that’s some pre-production model I haven’t heard about. This app is easily one of the worst I have ever seen.
I don’t know if it’s just the English translation that is so bad (cuz I don’t read Chinese) or if the Chinese version is just as horrible as the English version.
It is as slow as it is aggravating while trying to get my new Ultrasonic IEMs to work. The spinning circle on screen that shows it is trying to pair with the IEMs takes anywhere from 25-40 seconds to show any progress at all. Sometimes never. And without any clue as to why it’s not working.
The next screen options you get depend on IF it can pair with any IEM, or not. It seems random, which is irritating and confusing.
You just fumble around until you accidentally have success. Or give up.
What makes it so bad is that you can’t even use the Ultrasonic IEMs as intended until they DO pair with this app, cuz you can’t pair them in the iOS Bluetooth control panel correctly. Each side (L or R) pairs INDIVIDUALLY, not as a stereo device.
Contacting Moondrop tech help is, as too often these days, an exercise in futility. They wanted me to “record a video of doing a reset” (which you can ONLY do AFTER successfully pairing the IEMs) because they thought “I was doing it wrong.”
Any error messages disappear so quickly that you can’t even read them. Some display text runs off the screen so you can’t read it.
What an irritating mess. An infinite stupidity loop.

So, this app design is not the worst. I don’t have a problem with the language. The issue, for me, is that EQ settings are not saving for my MOCA earbuds. It has some other issues, such as being very slow, but these are not deal breakers, if the functionality was actually functioning.
