Every day people of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels use Morphi to create, sketch, invent, prototype, visualize, teach, tell stories, explain ideas and much more. Vertical farming system prototypes, assistive drawing devices, model rocket parts, biodesign lighting, casings for robots and electronics, compostable couture gowns, characters for animated shorts, bubblewands, jewelry, cookie and pottery cutters, self portraits, plates for printmaking and immersive augmented reality artworks. These are some of the hundreds of thousands of projects designed by members of our community in over 125 countries since Morphi was released on iPad in 2014.

Morphi has many tools to empower people to hone their creative thinking + visualization skills and more easily express + evolve their ideas in 3D, including:

-Design anywhere without logins or a WiFi connection.

-Sketch + draw 3D models, including using freehand, straight lines + 2D shapes to draw, symmetry, revolving lines, erasing lines, vector drawing + editing with control points + other 2D to 3D tools.

-Transform high contrast images (jpgs, pngs, svgs) into editable 3D designs.

-Robust CAD tools, including intersect, arrays + other tools for creating more complex designs.

-Place, edit and view 3D models in enhanced Augmented Reality using Apple’s ARKit such as snapping designs to horizontal planes, vertical planes + AR codes (available only for iPads with A9+ processors that support ARKit).

-Place and edit designs in Augmented Reality on older iPad models without A9+ processors using our basic tools for these devices.

-Add texture/materials from images or videos to your 3D designs.

-Import 3D models (STL+OBJ files) from other 3D modeling apps.

-Export 3D models (STL +OBJ files) for 3D printing, game design, animation, for further editing in other 3D modelers + for uploading to other AR/VR devices, like Hololens, Occulus + Merge Cube.

-Incredible rendering tools for creating photorealistic images of your 3D models (available only for iPads running iOS 14 + Apple's Metal Performance Shaders)

-Simple typing tools for 3D text using a variety of fonts

-Simple 3D lithophane tool to create 3D printed etchings and terrain.

-Highlight your 3D designs with quick lighting options.

-Change the background + grid to create more engaging scenes or export 3D designs with transparent backgrounds for graphic design.

-Save files directly to the iPad or to iCloud, Google Drive, Adobe Creative Cloud + other third party storage solutions installed on your iPad.

-Quickly teach yourself to design in 3D with our short, helpful video tutorials + other support under i (info) section.

-Incredible community of educators, students, artists, entrepreneurs, inventors+ others using the app.

What’s New

Version 3.8.3

You can now try the AR tools (with a watermark) prior to purchasing Morphi! Please note: that per Apple hardware requirements for ARKit, only compatible iPads with A9 processors or higher can use the full suite of AR tools in Morphi.

We've also made key improvements to the functioning and development of Morphi, including the following:

-enhanced the functioning of the 2D to 3D mirror drawing tool to prevent crashes
-added an Error Report feature so that when an error or crash occurs while using the app you have the option to anonymously report it in real time.

Many thanks and more to come!

The Single Best Mobile Option for 3D printing

The Inventery has always pushed the boundaries for what an iPad app can do without the need for extensive explanation or documentation, when modeling 3D parts. It’s interface is especially intuitive and non-intimidating for the casual or first-time modeler. Experienced modelers will find few limitations, with regular updates extending functionality.

The icing on the cake for me has always been its ability to work offline in creating complex stl (and obj) models that can be easily transmitted wirelessly to local printers, without the need for cabling or the internet.

With the latest updates, its possible to model very accurate parts for 3D printing that can easily integrate with open-source slicers to create a complete workflow that does not require a dedicated laptop or desktop device, and can be modeled and printed from anywhere there’s an internet connection, if need be.

With Dropbox (and other cloud-based services) integration rolled in, I’m able to begin with a rough 2D sketch and end up with a fully developed and printed part, ready for moulding and production in hours, without the need for an expensive and iterative casting and moulding service.

In short, this is a fun, inexpensive, capable and easy way to bring 3D part modeling and pre-manufacturing in house.

Get it, you will not be disappointed!

Awesome 3D Design App!

I downloaded Morphi because I was looking for an easy 3D modeling app that would allow me to create designs in 3D by drawing and combining geometric shapes. As an amateur photographer, I love that I can add my photos and videos as textures to my 3D models and then place them in my environment using Augmented Reality. I can also directly place my photos wherever I am using Morphi's 2D AR image tool. I'm still getting to know the app as there so many features, but the tutorials and handbook have been invaluable. Once I got oriented to 3D space, I was easily able to start sketching my ideas in Morphi. I highly recommend Morphi to anyone who wants to experiment with their ideas and create.

More than meets the eye!

When I first began looking at the Morphi app I thought it was only a 3D modeler for use with 3D printers. I couldn’t have been more wrong. After speaking with Sophia I quickly realized the implications of this app far beyond simple 3D printing. The amount of math that can be visualized alone is worth the download. We have since used this app in math classes, art classes, history classes and English classes. Students and teachers love how easy it is to use and the understanding that comes with seeing something visualized in 3D. I love this app!

Thanks so much Captjon007. Your work inspires us as well and we're excited that you are using Morphi across subject STEAM areas at your school. We know you and your students are going to enjoy the new version and there are lots of new features coming soon so stay tuned. Reach out at any time at hello@morphiapp.com.
