Description

[Movable Write] is open sourced: http://blog.yjpark.org/blog/2012/04/22/movable-write-open-sourced/

[Movable Write] is not like writing on a paper, it's like typing with your finger/stylus.

Written words are fully editable, found out missed a word in last line, no problem, you can just insert new word anywhere. You can break long lines into paragraphs too, you can remove a whole word, or just remove individual strokes.

As it says, they are movable, you can zoom in or zoom out, the words will be readjusted automatically.

You write on a big panel, means it's both comfortable and looks nice. Just write on the panel, press one of the big space button after each word (it works best to use your thumb of the hand holding the iPad, works for left-handed too). use the scroll buttons for over-sized words. Other than the button, you can also double click on the page to toggle input panel.

There are multiple themes you can choose from, make your notes or letters looks nicer. Three free themes packed in, more will be coming soon.

Long press the page to enter preview mode, it's exactly what it look like if you send it out, PDF file will be created and sent as attachment, so it can be viewed everywhere.

Also it's fun to play with, check out the bubble font effect, your normal writings will be rendered as nice bubble fonts with just one switch.

And who said it's only for writing? With selectable color (actual color might be changed when switching themes) and line width options, feel free to paint with it, check the screenshots for some nice samples.

Tired of the plain typed emails? with movable write, it's so easy to have nice hand-written letters, your family/friends gonna love it.

Note: It works great with your finger, for the ones prefer stylus, you may check http://astore.amazon.com/pettyfuncom-20

2015/ UPDATE PLEASE

There hasn't been any updates in a while. You guys probably won't update anytime soon, but just in case you guys do decide to update here are some very big bugs and suggestions:

1. When I exit the app and re-open it, the screen is stuck in potrait mode, which cuts it in half. (many people have this problem.)

2. Update it for the iPhone 5/5S/6/6 Plus

3. Update the look!

4. New icon!

5. More options as to what type of paper you want to use (the default looks like index cards/ there should be an option for other types, like notebook paper.)

Catherine May ,

Great Application.

I love this application. I have many uses for it. Now, there are a few issues I have with it, and some suggestions to go along with them.

1: There's no folders. I have lots of titled pages and always get frustrated about their freedom on the saved page. Maybe you could make a home screen with just folders, books, whatever that can be labeled and you can save work into them. This app works flawlessly in school situations, so this is why I bring this up.

2: I understand that the whole idea is to delete one word if you make a mistake or push undo. But for me,I have a huge habit of flipping my stylus around and attempting to erase. All I get is scribbles of black (or the color I'm using). Perhaps you could have an eraser button?

3: Keep on working on this. It's fabulous, despite my comments. The other apps I use are too complicated. Yours has its slight confusions, but is so much easier to use. Love it! And please take my input as just ideas and constructive criticism. I am not bashing the app. It is incredible. The four stars is only because I feel it looks under development.

Works for me...

... Works because I find I am using it quite a bit for fast note taking. 1. I keep a stylus with me. Makes it easier to use on the iPhone. 2. It gets a 4 because you can't keep the writing fm running off the right side of the page. Also, when you write, say, 4 pages and email them, it doesn't consolidate them into one page. You receive, we'll, 4 little pages. 5. In all, while not perfect it is a must have app for me, a person who is doing lots of field work.
