It’s like having a moving concierge!
I have moved half a dozen times in the last 10 years and wish I would have known about this app for all my previous moves. They can handle almost any reasonable request you throw at them! The only issue I had when using them is the moving company they have a relationship with for moving assessed a shuttle fee to the total cost after arriving at the delivery location. I was surprised to hear about this before purchase we had researched that the location doesn’t have any legal commercial truck restrictions and can be parked on a flat road without incline.
I hope that in the future the app develops a process to determine whether or not a shuttle is required (before finalizing purchase) based on certain criteria (like delivery location, legal restrictions, etc). Or at the very least, the likelihood that one would be required (low, medium, or high), to give customers a sense. Because in my case, it was communicated at the outset that I wouldn’t need one and then day before delivery (based completely on subjective driver opinion and determination), the shuttle was required. The shuttle added 7% more cost to the total (or 5% with the discount they provided). Otherwise, I think Moved is positioned to be invaluable for everyone who is considering their next move!
Too much to get sorry not in your area
First I will say the overall flow and look of the app is good, however there are some things that are aggravating.
You MUST create an account to do anything.
After you enter in your details, addresses, dates, boxes, etc you might be greeted with a “Thanks for filling out your information. After reviewing your move details, we noticed that your pick up address is located in an area we have not expanded to just yet. Unfortunately we don't have moving partners on our platform there.” message. They should tell you this BEFORE you create and account and go through adding your move details.
I sent the feedback to them via the in app chat, but wanted to let others know. This area check should be the first thing they do, then collect your move details.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
