Movie cat has been my favorite movie trivia app and the game I always came back to for the last 3 years. It's great to have a new version with some nice new features like a 2 player mode. Still one of the best movie trivia games you'll find.

Moviecat 2 is basically a copy of the first game, with loads and loads of new content. Seeing that the first game is one of my favorite apps of all time, that's not really a bad thing though.There are some new question categories, but most of those just contain the same type of questions that would've otherwise fallen in a more general one. There are a few genuinely new ideas implemented, but no huge leaps from what was already there.The one thing I'm really disappointed in, is that there's still no remote multiplayer option. Would've loved to play this turn based over the internet.

It's hard to tell what makes certain questions fit into "easy" "medium" or "hard" with some in easy being completely unknown to me, and some in hard being almost "common movie knowledge". Maybe the difficulties should be dynamic and it could adjust the difficulty based on how well you do in certain categories (e.g., if I get kids movies questions right, those get harder, while classics stays easy if I get those wrong).

I’m not even a movie buff and this game is still great. I wish it could go on a bit longer, though, as I got through all the questions fairly quickly. Also, I think there’s a glitch because now that I’m through all the questions, every time I play most of the questions are from the last couple of times I played, not a true random selection of all the questions.
