This update is bringing the goods!! There’s a lot to unpack here, but here are the essentials - You can now select your favorite characters per movie/show/episode (you can also import your TV Time character votes!!) - Community reviews will now appear in movies/shows details screens. - GIFs are also now included! Open to all users, Premium or otherwise. - You can share profile cards and links to let everyone know where and how to find you in Cinephile. - There’s an alternative log in option with Google.

This update brings some highly requested data import options! You can now effortlessly import your data from Letterboxd, Sofa Time, and TV Time’s official data. When importing the latter, you can also bring in even your comments that you left in that community! Moreover, there are many other quality of life improvements in the app, such as the ability to hide an episode’s thumbnail until it’s watched, as well as auto-translation for replying to comments in the social feeds.

- You can now select your top 10 favorite movies and shows to showcase in your profile. - The “Releasing” and “Timeline” sections have received some improvements. You have now more control over what to show here, and digital releases will also show for movies, not just theatrical releases.

This update introduces a TON of improvements. Here's a breakdown of some highlights: - Navigation in threads continues to improve. This update should start making the community section really feel more like a vibrant social media feed, with much better navigation, and better handling of the feed (no more having my welcome post always appear when sorting by popularity). This "popularity" has been relabeled to "trending now", and takes other things into account beyond just likes and comments. It also refreshes daily. My welcome post, and any future announcements I'll want to make, will appear as a dismissible pinned post that you can eliminate after seeing it once. - There are new options for keeping always the tab bar (not hide it when scrolling), as well as to have the rating prompt after marking something as watched appear automatically without having tap on the popup. Note that by default the popup is still on (I very much prefer it), but the automatic sheet presentation is now an option you can choose if you so desire. - Speaking of the popup, you can now do a lot more here, like mark as favorite, write a review, and VERY IMPORTANT, can navigate straight to the comments section form there to leave your two valuable cents. - The "Releasing" section in the Home tab can now be configured to show only releasing movies, shows, or episode releases (or all of course, that's the default). A similar fix has been added to the "Schedule" (which has been relabeled to "Timeline" to better convey the meaning of this screen). In the Timeline, for future releases (from today forward) you will only see relevant media (watching episodes, wishlisted / for later movies, etc), while going backward in time you will see everything, since it's a timeline of all releases in your library. - There are a LOT of privacy options now in your profile settings. You can now choose not just what to share, but WHO to share it with. - The app has been fully localized to Turkish and Arabic. - Fixed Trakt's sync problems that were introduced recently in a breaking API change on their end. This update is the first major refinement of the community features, which immensely improves navigation and adds some quality of life tweaks. No more having to navigate to Profile and then Feed. I've completely streamlined the approach. The tab has been relabeled to "Community" (still showing your profile picture) and now at the top level you can switch between your profile screen and the community feed, and the choice sticks. The way I see it one would 99% of the time have the feed open and occasionally check some stuff in their profile. The feed now supports not only posts, but you will also see other users ratings and reviews (this is all completely configurable; you *can* choose to see only posts and hide ratings and reviews or vice versa... the choice is yours). Over in the profile view you now also show your heatmap, and can much more easily see followers and following users. *ALL* of this is user-configurable; you'll be able to hide followers/following count and users, just like you can also completely hide the heatmap... Every single thing shown here is completely up to you what you share or don't share.

I’m excited to announce that Cinephile’s highly requested community features are here! You will now be able to create your social profile and start interacting with fellow cinephiles in the comments sections for movies, shows, and individual episodes! IMPORTANT!! For those of you who haven't been keeping up with the news and are worried that I'm turning the app into a full blown social media platform, fear not! As I promised from the beginning, *all* social features in the app are completely opt-in. There's a toggle in the Settings screen which, if turned off, the app will look to you as private as it does today. The Profile tab and comments sections will be completely invisible to you. This version has some really nice new tweaks : - New widget with upcoming calendar for movie/show/episodes releases (configurable, long-press the widget to choose what to show) - New "Haven't Started Yet" section in the Home queue, plus a revamped "Haven't Watched In A While" section. The latter can now be shown in either expanded mode (which matches the rest of the queue sections) or in compact mode. Compact mode is similar to the one you currently have, but improved to allow to mark an episode as watched right there. - Infinite scrolling in the new Schedule screen, with the option to show All Time releases. Same thing also for the “Recently Watched” screen.

This update is PACKED with cool stuff: - There's a new "Schedule" screen, which is an extension of the Calendar, showing all releases for movies/shows/episodes. - There are new "Out in Theaters" and "Airing Now" feeds in the search and discovery screen. - For the compact list layout in the Home tab, you can fully customize the cards (included is the option to show no background whatsoever, which was the original look for this layout until the previous update) - Fixed Trakt's recent breaking changes, which made syncing with the platform impossible.

- TV Time import has been drastically improved. You can now even import your lists!! - You can now set an alternative thumbnail for episodes. - There are new sections in the Home tab to help you organize your queue better. - There’s a lot of visual enhancements added throughout the app.

Streaming providers are now saved to your data, so the grouping option in your shelves is drastically faster. Moreover, there’s a fresh new batch of statistics awaiting you.

- There’s a new filter that uses a minimum TMDB rating to narrow down your search - In the movie / show details screen, there’s a new section showing the collections that this movie / show belongs to. - In the movie / show details screen, you can now tap on the poster to see a zoomed-in preview that you can also share or download.

This update brings the highly requested feature of grouping the shelves by streaming provider, so you can now more easily see what items in your library are available to stream in your favorite platforms. There are also some visual enhancements and improved loading in the statistics screen.

This update fixes a bug that affected some users where the library size would take up unnecessary storage space.

This update adds some visual improvements to the trending lists and ranked collections. Moreover, you can now edit an episode’s runtime, which would come in handy for cases where TMDB is lacking this metadata.

This small updates brings the following improvements: - There’s a new exclusion filter in smart collections, where you can choose what *not* to include in the collection (e.g. you can exclude a certain genre or actor) - You can now edit a movie’s digital release date, not just the theatrical one.

This update delivers a major upgrade to the Statistics screen. Explore a fresh set of new stats, and interact with every chart. Now, simply tap any part of a chart to see a tailored list of the movies or shows that match the selected statistic.

You will now be able to skip episodes / seasons that you don't want to track / watch. This way you can start tracking at whatever season / episode you'd like, and the queue will honor this. Moreover, there are a lot of new customization options for the library shelves.

Now you can customize your library shelves with new style options. Choose from a range of designs beyond the original wooden beams look, so you can match your shelves to your desired aesthetic.

This is a small follow-up to the big 2.0 release; I’ve added some minor tweaks that fix the search functionality in collections, plus some major improvements to several localizations.

Here’s Cinephile’s biggest update to date!! The app has been completely reworked to support collections and a new Library tab. There are a LOT of improvements and new features in this update, but the biggest highlight is undoubtedly the new Collections feature. There are three different types of collections (standard, ranked, and smart collections). - Standard Collections: These are straightforward collections, where you can organize your media by whatever criteria you’d like (examples: related movies and shows that belong to the same saga; best horror movies from the 80’s, etc..) - Ranked Collections: As the name implies, these are collections where you can rank your media according to your taste (examples; top Italian comedies, top horror movies of all time, best shows that aired in the 2000s, etc) - Smart Collections: My personal favorite! You define a set of filters (e.g., by tags, ratings, library status, actors, etc) and whatever media you have in your library that satisfies the selected criteria from the filters get automatically added to the collection!

- This update brings a new import option for TV Time. You can now use the “TV Time Out” tool to extract your data from TV Time and import it into Cinephile. - A bug that was preventing the search bar from working has been fixed.

Light mode is now available. Choose Light or Dark mode anytime, or set the app to follow your device’s system theme automatically. This update also includes a range of UI improvements for a smoother, more consistent experience.

- The context menus have been enhanced to support change of library status operations. - In the Search and Discover screen, the app now remembers your last few search terms. - Several bug fixes and performance improvements were added.
