Sadly, not the same Apple ease of use
This app popped up from the Mac photos app, like it was recommended by Apple. Unfortunately, you have to create a new accound, seperate from your Apple one and I can’t get this app to let me get that far. Also, it’s too easy to create duplicate projects by mistake. That said, if I could create an account, I’d give it go, but I can’t even get that far. It’s too bad the app is not linked to my Apple account. I read a previous commenter say that they are leaving Apple and I never thought I’d say this, but I’m considering it too. Photos app isn’t nearly as handy as the iPhoto.
MPIX is Excellent
I agree it is disappointing that Apple got rid of their photo service. The Apple Photos interface was a joy to use. It absolutely stinks that the seamlessness between the photo library and product ordering is no more. However, the MPIX product is excellent. They produce a large variety of products of high quality. Shipping is incredibly fast. And their customer service is outstanding.
Why apple why?!
It used to be so easy to order prints from my Mac! Now I not only have to install another app but this one has an extremely time consuming process to order prints. Furthermore I accidentally added a project with 80 prints to my cart twice and there was no way to delete the whole cart - !? So I didn't end up buying. Furthermore it crashed on me multiple times. Developers, you need to build off of use cases of people wanting to order 100s of prints quickly, not just 1 or 2. This UI leaves much to be desired.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
