What’s New

Version 1.8.7

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.

+ Bluetooth keyboard commands for switching sessions! Control+` (back-tick) will switch to the next World. Control+1,2,3, or 4 will switch to that World.
+ Bluetooth keyboard movement commands have been tweaked for better compatibility with VoiceOver. The new keys are: Command+←→↑↓ for W/E/N/S, and Command+Control+←→↑↓ for SW/NE/NW/SE.
+ Restored the Bluetooth Keyboard preference and removed some faulty auto-detection logic. When you have an external Bluetooth connected, enable Settings → Advanced → Bluetooth Keyboard.
+ Session logs are now saved as plain text files, both for emailing within MUDRammer as well as downloading via iTunes.
+ Worlds should no longer be marked as unread if the only change is a line that was suppressed by one of your Gags.
+ Fixed an issue when attempting to copy a blank line of text.
+ Fixed a crash related to processing cursor-position commands.

Good app and really the only game in town.

Unless you want to use a Telnet client to play MUDs and such, this app is the only game in town. It’s a good app. It’s functional. And probably when it was first released. But it definitely could be better. I’d like to make a feature request for mapping, like the Aardwolf PC client does. It would be nice to poke a button, or swipe, and bring out an editable map window that the player can use, where he/she can make notes in each location to add details and reminders of stuff. Also, a windows that you can create and add notes to would be nice. Overall, beyond those features that I would like to have added, this is a pretty solid, slightly better than basic, MUD client.

Spectacularly Simple and Smooth.

I have been using this app for the last 4 years, with 3.5 of those years seeing it put to decently heavy use on a regular basis, and this really is the best for mobile play. I'm not sure I'd rely on it for heavy combat, but I never needed to as I am more of a social/rp gamer and I also think that you could do it if you put in the customizing time. For my case, I was able to make sound triggers for everything I need to be alerted of without a hitch and I never felt like either I couldn't do something or I had to faff around with something overly complicated. One suggestion would be to allow for copying and pasting without having to tap each line individually, maybe going into a select mode or something, but that might be hard. All in all, love this app! Brought up the page to share with someone and couldn't believe how few reviews it had, so thought I'd add my own.

Best Mobile App for MUD's

I've had it for over a year now I believe and it has progressed well. There are many features, including alias', macros, triggers, gags, etc that are stored on your specific MUD profile and you can copy it to others so you don't have to memorize and transfer everything between MUD's. There are two radial movement shortcuts. You can drag the circle in the direction you want to travel, and another circle for in/out/enter/exit, or disable one or both.

The design is sleek and comfortable. There are many color themes and fonts to use. While I personally use Chocolate, all fonts usually looks best against a black theme.

It seems most complaints I would have are based around the small screens and lack of in depth complexity, but since they fit all this content into a mobile app?... Instant five stars!
