Traffic web cams for commuters in Pittsburgh, PA. Ready to head home and you want to check the traffic? MultiCam is the fastest way to get to the traffic web cams that matter to you. Instead of browsing to a web site and working your way through the menus and map graphics to find a web camera just open MultiCam on your iPhone and go straight to the camera you want with one click. Flick through the other cameras along your route, in order, with a simple Next button.
Should I stay or should I go?
The traffic is slowing to a crawl. Is it going to clear quickly or is it time to bail and find a better route? Open MultiCam, select the nearest camera with one click and then flick through the web cams along your route to see how far the congestion continues.
Touch the Favorite button on any camera page to copy the traffic cameras that matter to you to your Favorites list for faster access. Switch quickly from Show All to Favorites mode. In Favorites Mode the Previous and Next buttons follow the Favorites list.

This app has been updated by Apple to use the latest Apple signing certificate.
FINAL UPDATE. This is the last time MultiCam Pittsburgh will be updated. Under Apple's revised guidlines developers may not have two or more apps with the same appearance and functionality, differing only by content. In practice this means that I must consolidate multiple region-based traffic camera apps into a single app.
REPLACEMENT. The camera network covered by MultiCam Pittsburgh is now included in a new app named DOT Traffic. Select Pittsburgh from DOT Traffic's setup page once and the app will provide the same functionality as MultiCam Pittsburgh. DOT Traffic will continue to be updated. Unfortunately there is no mechanism to transition App Store ownership of MultiCam Pittsburgh to DOT Traffic.
Version 8.10. Parkway West cameras restored at last. Some Pittsburgh cameras have been out of action in recent weeks due to network maintenance and highway reconstruction. This app update moves all camera links to use PennDOT's revised system.
The new network camera image capture system operates in a slightly different way. This can result in camera new images not showing immediately. If a camera image does not appear promptly tap the refresh button.

Not worth it
This app is kind of cool because you can look at most of the major roads in Pitt but they are only still frames that rarely refresh if at all. I'd give half a star because it gives u half of what u pay for please update I looked at 279 at 2 am and it was sunny and dry sorry guys there six inches of snow there I just drove it. Get ur app straightened out ur gonna let alot of pittsburghers donwn.
Very useful, eliminates radio reports
I haven't needed this yet, but so far I can see a list of the cameras for the most backed-up highways and roads to and from work. Now if I forget to check the internet for traffic updates before I leave, I can have quicker access by turning on my iPod touch and checking out the cameras ahead of time. The app even allows you to add other cameras; so if you know the internet address for other cameras you can add them as well. Great for trips across highways that are frequently backed up. You can refresh every few seconds too.
Yinz wrote a nice app... can't wait for its evolution
Nice app out the gate, Favorites feature is helpful. Never crashed on me, and it's interface is simple and self-explanatory. Perhaps for the future, maybe consider ability to "flick through" Favorites, and maybe tie to a map, and maybe a tile of images from all Favorite cams (and traffic reports). Sorry... I got carried away. But it's stability counts nicely -- ease of use is great. Thanks!
