WHAT IT DOES
Music Journeys selects and plays music from your Apple Music® or iTunes® library in real-time based on your location, distance, or time, by choosing personal playlists, curated Apple Music playlists, or individual songs. It's the perfect app to add an entirely new dimension to your commute, scenic drive, run, walk, bike ride, train journey...no matter how you move!

CURATE YOUR OWN MUSICAL EXPERIENCE
Music Journeys is a blank creative canvas for music lovers to “paint with music.” Whether you keep it simple with a Journey for your daily drive to work or school, or you weave a complex tapestry of music for a special road trip, you can do it! You can even play different music automatically based the day of the week or time of day! Other things you can do:

- Inspire with different music or announcements as you reach different milestones on walk or a run
- Cruise around and enjoy music that magically adapts to your surroundings
- Craft a unique soundtrack for your scenic drive
- Ride-share drivers use it in tourist areas...theme parks, beach areas, and historic regions...to create a unique rider experience.
- Siri Shortcuts can effortlessly begin your experience ("Hey Siri, Morning Drive Journey", "Hey Siri, Relaxing Walk Journey", etc.)

"Places" can be created for locations where you want a certain type of music to be played. When you cross a certain point or enter an area, the musical action you’ve chosen for that Place happens — things like shuffling a playlist, playing a song or soundscape, fading out music that’s currently playing, and more. "Events" allow you to change music based on distance, time, or Journey progress...perfect when running, hiking, or a just having a relaxing stroll through the park.

Places can be created from scratch, or by starting with one of the 100+ Places included for select areas, or by importing Places & Events shared with you by friends! These can be simple, or you can make them more elaborate by creating Variations that play different music under certain conditions. For instance you may choose to shuffle a playlist between 7:30 and 8:30 on weekdays when you leave for work, and on the weekends music with a whole different feel plays when you leave home. You could create a Variation that plays different music when you return to a Place on a round trip, or even do something different after sunset. You can also choose to keep it simple and not use Variations at all.

Places get grouped into Journeys. When you launch a Journey only the Places & Events that you have selected will occur. Create your own Journeys, or import from those built into the app or shared with you by a friend!
