** IMPORTANT: This app will only work if you sync your music library manually with your computer. It is NOT compatible with Apple Music streaming or iCloud Music Library. **
Do you still use star ratings to manage your music library?
This Notification Center widget displays the rating of the current track, allowing you to change it while listening to your music. It also provides simple playback controls.
In order to enable ratings on iOS, and in Music Rating Widget in particular, you must sync your music files directly from your computer, rather than use a cloud-based service. On a Mac, you can add files to your library in the Music app, and sync them to your device in Finder. On a PC, you can do both within iTunes.
Updated for dark mode.

App Improves - Developer is Responsive
Since Apple has removed the functionality of rating songs from the Lock Screen, there's a need for a workaround.
There are few, if any other options to adjust the star rating from the Notification Center (NC), so this app fills a gap, and saves the user time from having to unlock thier iPhone. For that, I'm very grateful.
The app widget includes the option to rate stars from 0-5, and the Developer (after my request) recently added a 'Next Song/Skip' button!
The app sometimes doesn't work, and a workaround solution is to quit and reopen the Music App and the Music Rating Widget, in hopes that they'll start talking to each other again. I'm hoping this stability issue will be addressed and fixed in a future update.
I'm also hoping the developer will also impliment an Apple Watch app, to make it unnescessary to take one's phone out of their pocket.
Edit: Apple’s API now allows the Love/Dislike buttons in 3rd party apps. Once this is added, I won’t need any other apps to tag my music and I’ll be rating it 5+ stars.
Does what it’s supposed to
Good app. Very basic but good for ratings; has rudimental play features as well (play/pause, forward, backward). However, a slide to move within the song would be great, just like other music apps have it. Sometimes I want to skip to the middle of a song before rating it rather than waiting to get there. For now, I have to switch between music apps, what is quite annoying. Despite that, good app with potential to help me manage my massive music library.
Great app that simply works, but would love to have Love functionality
I’ve only been using this app for a few minutes and I already love it. It’s so much more convenient than using Apple’s Music app to rate songs! I just hope that the functionality to Love/Heart a song is added soon because that would make it even more convenient.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
