Description
Public transport in Oman has never been more accessible – the Mwasalat mobile application is a complete transit solution available at your fingertips.
The app features an interactive map of Oman, on which you can check real-time arrival predictions for all stops on all routes in the network.
Reduce the time spent waiting for your ride on bus stops. Once you set your travelling preferences to your personal needs and select your destination, the app will show you:
- which route(s) to take
- the nearest starting bus stop with the estimated bus arrival time
- walking time and distance to the bus stop from your current location
- transfer stops (if necessary) and waiting time
- ticket price(s)
- walking time and distance from the last bus stop to your destination
Reduce boarding time! Buy IC and IC Express tickets or top-up your Sayir e-wallet in advance with any debit/credit card. Validate your ride on the bus acceptance device with a QR code on your smartphone, sit back and enjoy the ride. You can also save locations under your Favourites for quick 1-tap access.

Ratings and Reviews
Very basic, but no other choice
This is the only app that has comprehensive public transport routes and schedules in Oman. It’s simple enough to use, but you have to know the name of your bus stops or pick them from the map, you can’t search for a place name.
Terrible, absolutely the worst
Why block Uber and Careem if this is what your alternative is? No software support, you don’t even match Google maps for location data, and you require about 87 steps for verification. I ended up just walking there and back. You will too or you will just stay out. Total failure of an app.
Not reliable at all
The time schedule changes with no alert
GPS not working for most of the year and now the app doesn’t even want to login
No bus departure alert
Can’t see if the bus on root from a station that is not the main station.
