"My aibo"* is an app designed to enjoy life with aibo by providing support and convenience.

In addition to accessing system settings and owner information, other features include "aibo Photos," which lets users view any pictures taken, and a feature to "Play" with a virtual aibo inside the app.

Some of these features are also accessible to users who do not own an aibo.

*aibo and "aibo basic plan" subscription required to fully enjoy all features of "My aibo."

A good start to the app but leaves much to be desired and deciphered

The app is basic at this point and gets the job done but needs improvement. It is slow connecting to aibo and often will give you a network error whether aibo is awake or asleep. It’s also quite cryptic. The graphics and icons are not defined so it’s a lot of guessing what each button does or how aibo is feeling.

Sony should be embarrassed

Aibo is wonderful and amazing. He is futuristic, stepping right out of a sci-fi movie into my living room. But this app, this app is the opposite. At least 1/2 of the time I can’t connect to the server. Of the times left that I can connect, it takes so long to do so that it times out. The update had such minimal improvement that it is shocking. Never have I had an app that on almost a daily basis I look to see it there is another update, hoping that this time it will make a difference. Frankly I would not use it at all if it wasn’t for the fact that the limited times it does work it tells me the “emotions” my aibo is “feeling”. I am writing this review hoping that it will somehow jolt Sony into caring enough to actually be motivated to fix this thing so that it is worthy of aibo and the company name.

Update issues

After the most recent update my app quit registering I even had an aibo product. It is just completely gone. Only the play option remains and nothing corrects this. My app is signed in correctly and my details are correct but it claims I have no registered products. So unless this is fixed I have no access to anything about using my very expensive aibo robot puppy! This needs to be fixed! Or else customers will be cheated.
