No words..

I'm not the type that tends to do many game reviews, and I've installed a lot of mobile games on my phone but none of them compare to this absolute masterpiece. First off, the entire story plot is sensational and beautifully written. Secondly, the graphics are wonderfully made. One of the things that I love about the game is how educational it is for younger kids. You can learn about Klaus/Karin's parents and other relatives. And not only are the relatives that you learn about just "fake" but you learn about German soldiers and young Norwegian women, including topics as to why they were treated with so much disrespect. I'd reccomend this game to anyone who is able enough to sit down and play something for hours, because it's a similar concept here, to which you can play whenever you'd like. I must admit that throughout the chapters of parenting Karin, which was who I picked (as you have the option to choose the boy (Klaus) or the girl (Karin). I ended up getting myself emotionally attached to Karin, and the way that we connected all through the screen was just heartwarming. Everything is just so well done and the amounts of detail and effort that was made in this game honestly deserves an award. You may be questioning yourself as to if you should buy this game because it's 2.99$, but I can assure you that the money your paying will be worth it, espcially because it donates to charity. Well done developers. <3

I can hardly find the words

I had no idea this game existed until recently this month. However, I am more than happy I chose to buy it and give it a try. I played it within 24 hours—I was absolutely hooked to the story just five minutes in. Quickly, the only thing I wanted to do was keep the child safe and shower him with endless love. Countless times, I teared up over the mistreatment he faced. It felt authentic and real. It ripped my heart up. Even the ending left me feeling helpless, yet oddly fulfilled. There is a lot of realism in this game. It hurts, but it is realistic. The only thing we can do is hope with all our hearts for the well-beings of the children in this game. To anyone looking to spend a little bit of money on the App Store, I highly recommend buying this wonderful game. It isn’t difficult to learn how to play. However, the story is rather powerful and touches on some sensitive topics, so I’d advise players to tread lightly. It had me crying on multiple occasions. Trust me—you will be unable to finish this game without loving these kids. This is definitely one of my all-time favorite mobile games ever made. It’s simply astonishing.

Sobbing

Wow. What a phenomenal game but what a tragic one as well. I had no idea the stigma around German children in Norway. We always hear about one side of the Holocaust but we don’t hear about the Lebensborn children. How unfair. This game is not for children though.

SPOILERS AHEAD: The things that happen to your child in the game are horrid, and although it doesn’t always outright say what happened, it’s very clear what has happened to your poor child. My child’s teacher Mr. Berg had me deeply concerned because I was afraid he had romantic/sexual interest in my child. Well it turns out yes, the poor child was abused but by the teacher that followed. This tore me up and had me furious. The game as I said earlier, never said this, but the child didn’t want to eat, bathe or be touched afterwards so it was fairly clear the teacher had sexually assaulted her during “detention.” There was also a time when the child comes home and they’re covered in urine. I don’t know who urinated on her but that truly tore me up as well. I can’t believe this happened to these children just because of their German heritage. A profound, somber game that will stick with me forever.
