It’s the perfect introduction to the orchestra for children aged 4 and above.

The orchestra is the most amazing musical team! Come and explore all the instruments in this stylish sequel to Naxos’s My First Classical Music App.

In this brand new app, there is a very special guide to the orchestra: a little green creature called Tormod. He is a troll who has come from the top of a mountain in Norway to find out about music! Can you help him find his way home while he shows you round the orchestra?

Every instrument has its own page, with a young performer playing a solo. Tormod will show you all these, and sometimes he might even try the instruments himself! He’s only a beginner though…

Tap any words or pictures and hear the text narrated, extracts of music, animations and sound effects.

This unique and exciting app from the world’s largest independent classical record company is full of different pieces of music in excellent audio quality.

It will captivate children aged 4+ and delight parents.

A full album of music includes:
John Williams: Superman
Sarasate: Carmen Fantasy
Mozart: Horn Concerto No. 4
Mendelssohn: The Hebrides (‘Fingal’s Cave’)
Wagner: Overture to ‘Tannhäuser’
Grieg: In the Hall of the Mountain King
– and over 30 more!

This is the only app I have ever reviewed.

My 20 month old boy is obsessed with this wonderful app. He can now identify ALL the instruments of the orchestra (except the viola). He literally spends hours with it.

There is so much TLC that must have gone into creating this app. So many well chosen music clips, illustrations, and sound samples. So many little details and extra hidden features. I really can't say enough about this app. It's an accomplishment the developers should be very proud of.

I realize one might suspect I'm not a real reviewer. I am. I promise. You can google me.

This app is amazing!

I am a music teacher and I am always finding new ways to engage the children in learning about the orchestra instruments and classical music. This app told a wonderful story, explained with great detail every instrument in the orchestra, as well as played sound clips of each so strumming individually, in its instrument family and as a whole in the orchestra. The children were engaged through out the entire lesson plus there are extra activities where the kids could take a Listening quiz! I will definitely recommend! And share with my son when he's older. Thanks!
