It’s secure
You can use Touch ID or Face ID to log in, or authorise your transactions through M-Pesa app. The M-Pesa 4 digit PIN can as well be used!
This is the only official and authorised App for accessing your M-Pesa account in Tanzania (GSMA Mobile Money certified). Vodacom Tanzania cautions customers against downloading or attempting to use of any other App that purports to offer easy access to M-Pesa.

Improvement features on App
1- Check other App and make more better 2- If possible to Combine both apps ( for M-Pesa and buying bundle ) 3- make additional fields for details payment for expenditure reports . also report should be available as long as user can get 4- user can get screen shot for payments ( as save as mode ) so it’s easy to share with 3rd part 5- favorite should be on all payment or bundle 6- the cost should be reduced , M-Pesa you don’t deserve to charge a lot of money for transferring either within same network or other network within TZ or within local bank or GepG Thanks
Somewhat Good
I've been using the M-Pesa app for some time now, and while it has been quite functional, there are a few areas that could use improvement. The app generally performs well for mobile money transactions; however, it occasionally fails to work, particularly when there's no internet connection. This can be quite inconvenient, especially in areas with poor network coverage or when you have no data.
Moreover, the user interface feels outdated and lacks the modern design elements seen in other financial apps ie crdb standard charted app etc. A refreshed interface would not only enhance the user experience but also make the app more visually appealing and easier to navigate.
In summary, M-Pesa is a reliable mobile money service with a lot room for improvement in terms of internet dependency and user interface design. I hope to see these issues addressed in future updates.
Great and easy to use
I have had this app for 2 years . I live in USA . But Tanzania native . I use it a lot to send money locally and receive when in TZ. Even outside TZ when in USA . I use it when I want people to pay me through my mpesa . When I am visiting TZ . I use Nala to fund money on my mpesa. I do this coz nala is linked with my USA bank cards. Then use mpesa in TZ . Very convenient and easy to use .
