Excellent for cataloging your movies!

This application's catalog is very large and contains pretty much all the discs you’d likely own, and it’s easy to scan into your system and share with your mobile apps. That’s all very well done.

The only reason I’m docking this a star is:

A) If you do have a new or rare disc that’s not in their collection, the process of submitting it can be laborious… and requires you to have a Blu Ray disc reader attached to your computer to retrieve serial number information from the disc itself.

B) It lacks what I’d consider useful customiztion options. For example, I might prefer to see the individual movie covers for each of the movies in a box set, rather than the box set cover reused for each and every one of them. Either way seems to me to be a legitimate preference - it’d be nice if it were selectable. And it lists all the movies within a box set together, rather interleave in them alphabetically or chronologically throughout your collection (depending on how you sort). So if you wonder why you don’t see “Vertigo” listed under “V”, it may because it’s part of your “Alfred Hitchock Boxed Set”, and listed under “A”… along with the other titles in that set.

Hi. Thank you for your feedback - if you have a title that is not in our service, it is correct that you can create and contribute such from the application, but providing a disc id (which is what requires a disc reader) is optional - you are not required to provide such. Box sets are presented in the way the box set is released - if all titles in a box set holds the same cover, or are in the same box, they will be presented with the same cover - our service will always follow the look of the original release. You may however add your own covers to the profiles if you prefer. Box sets are also indeed by default grouped together (nested), as you by default are viewing them as the box, and not the individual movies - you can disable box set nesting in preferences.

I cannot live without this database for my movies.

I have the iPhone/ipad app as well as the Mac OS program versions. They all work seamlessly together. I can reference my movies as fast as I can the internet but when I need to know what I have already bought. Its required if you have a large collection for movie managment. The technical support and database update guys are spot on when there is a new movie not listed for addition. Email them photos of the covers (front and back) and within 24 hours, they will have added it to the database for addition. It syncs with IMDB seamlessly. This really is a top notch database where you can sort physical, digital, for selling, or watched movies, etc.

UPDATE: Still loving it! Use it daily now.

great for collectors.

Bugs have been fixed and it works great. My only criticism is that I’d love to have more options to personalize the layout back drop etc. Some things you can change on ther personal side for movies are a little hard to find. I have a few VHS tapes it’d be nice to keep in the collection too! Also CEDs.

It’d be nice if a movie could be in multipel categories, and if I could create my own catagories.

I have version 1 which is great. Got an ad, saying V2 was out on May 16th. I spent the mone to buy it. It does nothing won’t open can’t log in, no screen, NOTHING.
Went to a forum, MANY people having the same issue back to the start of May. So their selling an item they KNOW does not work. Still NO response to how this will be fixed. I hope they will at least offer a refund.

Developer Response ,

Hi. It sounds good that your previous issue is now resolved. Regarding your requests - you can using the generic "Movie" profile option track items that are not disc titles, including VHS titles. We have to options for categorisation - the one you likely refer to, we call "Groups" - a title can only be in one group, and these are fixed, but can be re-named, however, you can use the "Categories" feature, where you can create your own categories, and titles can be in multiple categories.
