My original review is below but the app isn’t as great as I once thought. I can no longer pay my bill through the app. Scheduling work orders is not reliable because sometimes the app is not functioning, scheduling is not available, and work orders disappear. Management/Maintenance reschedules the world orders and they show up when I’m not home. NYCHA please do better.
Would be great if I could see the balance history on my account and also see the actual bill before paying it. Then I'd use the app to pay my bill. For now, I just send payments. Paying through the app would be so much more convenient. Thanks NYCHA!
I appreciate being able to schedule work orders, check on status of work orders, and pay rent with this app. I work so the contact center is closed by the time I get home and I forget to call at lunch bc I'm prob eating if I even get to take a decent lunch if things are busy. Thanks NYCHA for the progressive improvements to my rental experience in my development.
Reading the comments years ago in my head thinking: these people probably never really tried to even get it to work, watch me...Psych! After entering yeh requires login details (last name - DOB - last 4 of SS) I called the number the app refers you to (NYCHA Customer Service) who don’t even have an extension for app support I had to scour the lockbox, annual review & work ticket departments for 30 minutes bouncing around to land on a E-Pay support line.
Much to their credit they helped me enroll in their services through an emailed link, provided me with information I didn’t have on hand and assisted me very well though my journey to use the MyNYCHA app. At the end of the enrollment process the representative informs me that they no longer support the app.
Anyone with common sense reading the comments and reviews would have come to that conclusion but in the end my own ego led me to solve a problem with no solution only to have wasted my time.
Definitely, definitely, definitely sign up for E-Pay and just make a shortcut on your phone to jump there when you need. That is our best bet and is a fine one if you’re not a complainer.
In short — the app doesn’t work. pay on the website.
NYCHA is full of CRAP!
I would give this “app” zero stars if I had the option to do so. NYCHA is full of crap and this useless app is another classic example of it. NYCHA lies to its tenants and the taxpayers by using this useless app as alleged proof that NYCHA is actually doing something for its tenants. The reality this is further proof of 40+ years of NYCHA’s fraud by deception by claiming that this useless app represents progress. In fact, this useless app is proof of how NYCHA has found its new technological smokescreen to hide its grotesque waist of our tax money. When Mayor LaGuardia created NYCHA in the 1930s, the poor finally had a clean place to live. Today NYCHA is a morbid shadow of its former self. Mayor LaGuardia is certainly turning over in his grave and perhaps cursing at NYCHA from the grave.
