Not into the new update

The app itself is cool and when I first got it, it was very easy to use. The new update makes things difficult. From a sitter’s perspective, it won’t allow me to take a day off. Sometimes I’ll have to go in 3-4 times and keep taking the same day off until the app actually says ‘not available’. I have my schedule set on automatic around my school time so I have it all set and ready to go but for some reason, my manager will still tell me that I need to put in my hours for the upcoming weeks while on my app, it shows me my exact hours. It also makes it difficult to set my schedule in advance. When I try to set it for ‘all Tuesdays & Thursday’s’ for example, it’ll delete my availability for all the other days. Eventually, it’ll work but it takes a loooong for me to toy with it to get it how I want it. Overall, it’s a good app but they really need to bring back the old version or put out a new version that fixes these glitches because it does make things a lot harder.


Ok app but slow and glitchy

This app is ok but everything takes forever to load. I open the app and wait. I tap Scheduled Care and wait. I search for available sitters and wait. It’s super slow and frustrating.

Also, there have been scheduling glitches. I’ll schedule a sitter who shows up as available in my region when in fact they are either not available at that time, or they are not in my region. Some unconfirmed sitters stay in the scheduled care page for months on end and I cannot delete them (annoying but not a huge problem).

I agree with other reviews that I should have the option to decline to review a sitter until the 2nd or 3rd visit.

Update is Probelmatic

The update to the app is very problematic and makes it unusable. It requires you to give a review of sitters to be able to use it.

We do to to review every sitter. Sometimes we don't feel we have enough information after one visit to provide a review. Also, they do not say what is done with the review information. It is bothersome to be asked for a review without clarification. If a review is going to be required, that should be part of the contract, not something added along the way. We have no problem asking for a review and this option is nice, but it shouldn't be a requirement.

Because we don't want to provide a review we can no longer use the app. When we sign on, the screen asking for the review pops up and there is no way to close it. So we can no longer use the app, check out schedule, or schedule a sitter through the app.

The most recent update doesn't take into account feedback. Still requires a review of nannies, even after one appointment. This makes me more hesitant about using College Nannies & Tutors. We've liked much of the service, yet I would not refer to them because of the app. It seems odd not to refer to a service like this because of an app, but this is an integrity issue. Requiring reviews when this is not in the contract and when we often do not feel we have sufficient info to make a review is a concern about the company's integrity.
