Not all the glitters is gold
I have been off and on with Sprint over the last few years (around 10 or so). The first go around was awful because of the time. There were surcharges, charges, and hidden charges out of the wazzoo. I stopped and went to other companies. They weren’t any better and so in 2014 I went back to Sprint, this time sharing a plan with my sister. Every since things have been very easily managed prices 10x better and so on. Last year my parents my and her plan, there were complications and they weren’t able to pay their portion a bunch and my phone kept getting shut off. I went in to try and get them turned on by a representative. This trip was the best I’ve ever had. Not only was he able to get it turned on, but we got me set up with my own plan again(didn’t think it as possible because of past account going leftways). On top of that, we were able to minimize my parents plan costs an additional $60 or so on top of the $63 for taking me off as well. Not all Sprints locations are like this, but the one I’ve been going to and working with has done everything in their power to assist me and that’s what I praise about the whole company now.
If I could give it 0 stars I would. I find it very funny that when I log on to the app it shows me my balance due and will take a payment no problem, however if I want to pay a past due balance ONLY and not the balance that isn’t due quite yet I have to log in 2 additional times then when I finally get to the screen to make the payment I choose the past due balance and it tells me they’re having technical difficulties ? I realize I should have my balance paid on time however that isn’t always the case & though they do allow you to pay the past due amount they make it extremely difficult as if they force you in to paying everything off at once.
I am currently eligible for an upgrade and everything was going smoothly until the last step and I get the same message that they are having technical difficulties. I thought downloading the app would be easier to access my account pay my balance but I believe I might just delete the app and continue using the website 🤷🏻♀️ which also has its own problems but apparently they cannot fix simple issues anywhere. My current device only has 100 left and I plan to pay this off and have it unlocked and switch carriers. From reading previous reviews it seems like people have to go through hell and back just to get a device unlocked that THEY PAID FOR , and someone will definitely hear it from me if I have to go through that when I get mine unlocked.
This new update makes this 5 stars worth!
I’ve been having Sprint on and off throughout the years. Sprint has improved over the years. This app has improved over the years. While I still feel the development is a little bit behind compared to apps from Verizon and AT&T, I’m glad we’re moving up.
Absolutely love the fact that I can upgrade and/or add a line straight from the app. This avoids having to call telesales, visit a store and deal with pushy sale reps or chat with a representative and expect he got the order right. I like to be in control of my services but what I like more is to be in control while on the go. The website is not 100% reliable which is why I’m glad we’re able to do a little bit more from the app. I love that the app is “iOS” material. By that i mean the app runs smooth, no lag, crash or bugs. It loads immediately and works as advertised.
I’m not going to talk about the cons because we know we’re missing a lot of features from the website, instead I want to congratulate the developers for not forgetting about us. We do appreciate your dedication. I can’t wait to be able to do more from my smartphone.
