Unbelievably bad.

My employer chose TRS to administer the 401k program, which forced me to interact with TRS. I have to say it is the absolute worst financial services app that I have ever seen. In keeping with the lackluster, half-assed capabilities of TransAmerica in their services, their app is literally completely unusable. Multiple deletions and reinstallations yield an app that still crashes on load, and is completely worthless. Their two factor (website and app) auto system is ridiculous and overly complicated, working only every third or fourth time. I can’t wait to be done with these idiots. If you are a company (especially a tech company) please, for the love of all that is holy, choose someone else to administer your plan.

Worst App Ever

My company changes to TransAmerica and everything was fine for about a month, then all of a sudden the app just stopped working. Every time I open the app it immediately closes. This is totally unacceptable. This company also doesn’t read their reviews or they would know about this problem and post an update about what their plan is to fix it. Which means they also don’t listen to their customers. If this is any indication as to the kind of service I can expect should I ever actually need anything related to my retirement then I am afraid we are doomed. Fix this please. All we ask is to be able to open it... I work in IT and would be happy to help.

No control over 2 factor authentication

It’s 2018. I understand the implications/advantages/risks of using or not using 2 factor authentication. Please allow me the choice to have control over this option so I can use this account with financial aggregators such as Mint or whatever else I choose. I am fully capable of making this decision on my own. I prefer to check in daily on my accounts with financial aggregators and required 2FA has made this task impossible to complete. I am forced to use Transamerica by employer choice, so I have no decision in the matter. Please allow people the flexibility to make their own decisions, albeit good or bad, instead of forcing policies and using cybersecurity as the scapegoat.
