Great app, all around. From the affinity icons, to the ease of access and convenience features bundled, sales tax lookup, etc, all of it leads to a very high level of success in making sure… you always have an ID. These are also RealID compliant, so you can load your ID into Google, Samsung or Apple Wallet and use it at certain airports with just a tap, vs handing over your physical ID. Tap, Scan, on you go and it helps speed up the lines SO much. Overall, 10/10 for me. The Drivers License office people are also very helpful and always so sweet, and will help you if you need a form or explain what step you need to take next vs the DMV… which is always a nightmare.

What you're referring to is the mobile driver license, which is what's available in the Apple, Google or Samsung Wallets. The 5.2 update broke the app on IPhone. When you launch the app and Face ID tries to log you in, it starts a loop where the app logs you in for a split second and then reverts to the app log in screen prompting Face ID to activate again. This happens seven or eight times and then the log in screen is displayed. Ostensibly you could then sign in manually but that is if you happen to remember your user name and password which I do not because I used the strong password feature when I originally set up my account on this app which was not saved in my phones password list due to the app blocking this feature. So until there is a fix for this issue this app has been rendered useless. Clearly the people who coded the new Colorado unemployment website were also tapped to make this app inoperable as well. Why do government entities still not understand how to make intuitive and functional net mediums? The answer is a lack of beta testing and a lowest bid gets the contract mentality. Do better, we are not in the early days of the internet anymore, these types of coding errors are a direct result of incompetent creators fostered by governmental entities who have neither the knowledge nor the technical aptitude required to make informed decisions about technological viability as it relates to important government operations.

A lot of these people are simpletons that don't actually bother with the depth of things. Simply put this app is OKAY at best but it just isn't as good as it should be. I can't believe we are in the year 2025 and yet somehow some way I have to continously log in basically every time the app is closed for more than 5 minutes. Imagine if you had to sign in to your social media platforms EVERY single time you opened the app. Doesn't sound fun does it? The app itself is clunky and slow. And while the overall use of it makes a lot of sense, I just don't see any justification for using it over your physical copy. It has other things to offer sure, but that's banking off the chance that it works the way you want it to with no hiccups.

Furthermore, I think it is important for people to understand that the customer service is quite decent. Any time I've needed help they've always been responsive, but with us being so far into our technological advancements as a society there is no reason that an app of this caliber should be doing the bare minimum. Put some pizazz into your app or just shut it down altogether.
