Description

A social and professional network based on your selected geoPoint on a map

Choose a geopoint (Geographical Point) on a map, and a social and professional network is created based on this point.

Your geopoint does not have to be static, you can change it based on your location, and your actual location is never revealed to the public (unless you call for help during an emergency or are navigating in a private group).

Imagine the convenience of discovering people, offering a service or product you’re looking for, and sorted by distance.

If you’re a doctor, you could use the hospital or clinic you work at, as your Public Location.

Experience next-level proximity based networking with our Classifieds. If you're looking for, or offering a service or product, you can post it on the Classifieds. Browse Classifieds by distance, or see the newest posts first.

Search for nearby people by occupation, skills or interests.

When you’re in need of help, you can send out an emergency distress call, and your call for distress will be broadcasted to users within a 24 km or a 15 mile radius.

Start a private group for navigating with others, such as for family tracking, or a temporary one with friends going on a trip. Once you close the group, all data is permanently deleted.

For further privacy in an emergency or in private groups, your location only updates when the app is in use, and there is no log, history or record kept of user location.

A mobile phone number is required to register as a user. This by design, will hopefully foster a more genuine user base, minimising spam and scams.

We hope to keep the app free, hence the ads, to cover the server costs. Once we can gauge how much revenue we acquire from the ads, we may be able to reduce the number of ads on the app.

If you’re installing the app in 2023, you’ll be an early adopter, and all future upgrades or paid versions will stay free.

So edit your profile, create a post, share the app with friends and family, and check-in with the app once in a while. In time, you’ll find, the myGeopoint app, with its networking capabilities and help feature, to prove invaluable.

What’s New

Version 2.1

We had to change the app name and logo due to copyright restrictions.
This version is the same as the last but uses the new app logo and name.
